Recently, Dulquer Salmaan seemingly confirmed to be a part of the movie which delighted the fans Now, according to the latest reports, arguably India's biggest director, SS Rajamouli is also playing a key role in the film which also feature Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani in prominent role. ## It is said that Rajamouli will be playing a very important role in "Kalki 2898 AD" aka "Project K", however, makers haven't confirmed that same yet. Mumbai, August 30 - Director duo Raj&DK's latest web series Guns and Gulaabs has crossed 20 million viewing hours on Netflix in the first 10 days. The black comedy crime thriller stars Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan, Adarsh Gourav, Goutam Sharma, Gourav Sharma, Sanchay Goswami, Gulshan Devaiah, Pooja Gor, and Shreya Dhanwanthary, among other in prominent roles.## "Guns and Gulaabs" debuted August 18 on Netflix and scored 8.1 million viewing hours from 1.3 million views in the opening weekend (August 18-20), and was the 8th most-watched non-English show globally. During the week of August 21-27, the series generated 13.3 million viewing hours from 2.2 million views and was the 7th most-watched title globally.## The total viewing hours of the series are 21.4 million from just 3.5 million views. The reviews from the critics are mixed while audience score is 78% on IMDb which can be seen as decent. Set in the 90s world of crime and violence, it depicts the story of love and innocence blending with humour and romance.## Meanwhile, Prabhas-fronted Adipurush (Hindi) has crossed 15 million views in the first 17 days of its release on Netflix. The movie scored 12.7 million viewing hours from 4.3 million views in the first 10 days (August 11-20). During the week of August 21-27, it scored 2.6 million viewing hours from 900K views, which takes the total watch time of the movie to 15.3 million from 5.2 million views.## Directed by Om Raut, the film is based on the epic Ramayana. It was originally released theatrically on June 16 and met with horrible reviews from critics while audience reception was also negative. The highly-awaited sequel is scheduled to release on November 10, 2023, globally.## Directed by Nia DaCosta, "The Marvels" runtime has been listed at 1 hour 45 minutes in AMC Theaters. According to an earlier report by Comicbook, the film's runtime to be around 1 hour and 47 minutes long while another rumour says the runtime is around 1 hour and 38 minutes.## The current shortest Marvel Studios movies are "The Incredible Hulk" and "Thor: The Dark World", which both run for 1 hour and 52 minutes, so, if any of the aforementioned runtime is accurate, it would mark "The Marvels" as the shortest film in the MCU history by some margin.## "The Marvels" is said to be mostly a standalone movie with not much connection to the wider MCU. Mumbai, August 29 - Sunny Deol-fronted period action drama film Gadar 2: The Katha Continues continuing its heroic run and crossed 600 crores mark at the worldwide box office on its 18th day. It has become the second Indian movie of the year to achieve this milestone.## Directed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 has so far scored approximately 544 crores gross collection in India (460.65 crores net) while its overseas collection is excellent 61 crores through 3rd Monday (18 days). The worldwide box office collection of the movie has reached 104.60 crores to-date.## Gadar 2 has become the 12th Indian movie and 7th outright Bollywood movie of all-time to top 600 crores worldwide gross. Post the covid-19 pandemic, it the 4th Indian movie and 2nd Bollywood film to reach this box office figure. ## Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar's social comedy drama OMG 2 also having a very good run despite competition and not-so mass friendly film. On its first Monday (18th day), it topped 200 crores gross mark at the global box office and becomes the first movie of Akshay since Sooryavanshi (2021) to achieve this feat.## In India, the Amit Rai's directorial movie has minted 161 crores gross while overseas, it has grossed around 39 crores so far. Mumbai, August 28 - August 2023 has turned out to be a historic month at the Indian box office with all films scoring well over 1000 crores net collection. This month particularly turned the tide for the Hindi film industry as it registered the biggest single-month net collection of all time in Hindi.## As of August 27, all the films have scored approximately 750 crores net collection in the Hindi language so far in the month of August. It surpassed the previous biggest single-month collection of 571 crores net, which came in April 2022 while the third biggest was 542 crores net in March 2022. ## So far, Sunny Deol-fronted "Gadar 2" is the biggest earning film in August with 456 crores net, followed by Akshay Kumar's "OMG 2" with 136 crores net, Karan Johar's directorial "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani" with approximately 97 crores, and Ayushmann Khurrana's "Dream Girl 2" with 41 crores. Arshad Warsi headlined the first movie while Akshay Kumar led the second installment. ## It was revealed last year that director Subhash Kapoor was working on the script of "Jolly LLB 3" which was later confirmed by Arshad Warsi. Now, according to Pinkvilla, the shoot of the movie will commence in February 2024 and is expected to be shot over a two-month straight schedule in Madhya Pradesh. ## "Subhash Kapoor has completed the screenplay and will kick off the pre-production at the end of this year. The third installment presents a clash between good and evil within the context of a courtroom. Punjabi period action drama movie "Mastaney", Malayalam action drama "RDX", Marathi historical drama "Subhedar" and Gujarati comedy drama "3 Ekka" were among the big winners with approximately 26 crores net collection.## Mastaney - Directed by Sharan Art and starring Gurpreet Ghuggi, Tarsem Jassar, Simi Chahal, and Rahul Dev, among others, "Mastaney" had huge opening weekend in India. It scored 9.20 crores net in 3-days, which is the second biggest opening weekend for a Punjabi movie this year. Worldwide, the movie minted over 25 crores gross collection which are blockbuster numbers.## RDX: Robert Dony Xavier - RDX is set to emerge as one of the biggest box office success stories of the year. The Malayalam action drama, starring Antony Varghese, Shane Nigam, and Neeraj Madhav, released against a mighty competitor "King of Kotha" on limited screens. After excellent reviews and WOM, the movie witnessed an explosive growth over the weekend to score around 6.25 crores net collection in 3 days. The 4th day collection (Monday) is set to be on part with Sunday collection and it isn't looking to stop anytime soon. ## Subhedar - Yet another Marathi movie on a Maratha warrior that is conquering the box office. After "Baipan Bhaari Deva", Marathi cinema set to get one more blockbuster in the form of "Subhedar" which scored excellent 5.06 crores net collection in the 3-day opening weekend. It scored the biggest opening for a Marathi movie this year with 1.15 crores net before showing healthy jump over the weekend to post very good weekend collections.## 3 Ekka - Gujarati cinema has success here and there over the last couple of years, and "3 Ekka" set to be one of the biggest Gujarati blockbusters ever.
