Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' Advance Booking Hits Record 10 Crores In 24-Hours

Mumbai, September 2 - After the exceptional success of Pathaan, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is coming to set the screens on fire again, this time with action thriller Jawan.## Directed by Atlee Kumar, Jawan is easily the most hyped Bollywood movie in the recent times and this has been proved on the opening day of its advance booking commencement. As soon as the advances opened yesterday (September 1), tickets started selling like hot cakes and as things stand currently, the movie has recorded an all-time highest pre-sales for any Bollywood movie in the first 24-hours.## The advance booking of the film has crossed 10 crores gross (10.10 crores) collection with around 305K tickets sold in the first 24-hours for the opening day. The movie is getting ready to release on Christmas this year and it will be Hirani's first film since mega blockbuster "Sanju" (2018).## The maverick filmmaker will next be working on a biopic of Independent India's first cricket captain, Lala Amarnath. Now, according to Pinkvilla, superstar Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor are the top contenders to headline this mega project as Hirani wants to make this either of them.## It is said that Aamir Khan has been approached to play Lala Amarnath. The movie witnessed a drop of just around 52% from the second week which is a phenomenal hold for massy front-loaded movie.## "Gadar 2" was benefited by Rakshabandhan festival as it scored 63.35 crores net collection in the third week.
