Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki' Distributor Demands 100 Percent Showcasing In Single Screens

Mumbai, December 18 - As the release date of superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki and Prabhas-fronted Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire is getting closer, the fight for showcasing in single screens is also taking an intense turn, if the latest reports are anything to go by. ## It was recently revealed that in Multiplexes, Dunki will be getting 46% of the total showcasing and 30% will be allotted to Salaar, however, in single screens, the scenario is becoming wild. According to Bollywood Hungama, Pen Marudhar which will release SRK-starrer, has demanded 100% showcasing in single screens across the board. ## The report states that Pen Mrudhar is going all out to secure 100% showcasing outside multiplexes. A source told the website, "Shah Rukh Khan has given 2 films of Rs. 500 crores in 2023 and he deserves exclusivity in single screens. They have given the single-screen owners the option to either give all shows to Dunki or go ahead and support a film of South Origin". ## On the other hand, the Hindi distributor of Salaar, AA Films is open for show sharing, however, their demand is equal to showcasing on single screens. Dunki vs Salaar Opening Day Advance Booking Comparision In India

Mumbai, December 16 - The stage is set for the biggest box office clash of the year to cheer up the Christmas 2023 weekend in the form of Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki and Prabhas-fronted Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, releasing a day apart on December 21 and 22, respectively. ## Dunki, a comedy-drama based on illegal immigration, marks the maiden collaboration between the two giants of Bollywood cinema, SRK and director Rajkumar Hirani. It has been one of the most-anticipated films of the year and the fans are eager to witness this magical on-screen combo in theaters. ## Telugu superstar Prabhas teamed up with Kannada filmmaker Prashanth Neel for the first time on Salaar, an A-rated action drama about two best friends who turned biggest enemies. Mumbai, December 11 - Ranbir Kapoor-led action drama Animal scored a huge 87.56 crores net collection in Hindi in its second weekend, according to producer T-Series. In all versions, the mega-blockbuster minted approx. 93.70 crores net collection. ## Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal fell short of Sunny Deol-fronted "Gadar 2" which remained the biggest second-weekend grosser with approx. 90.50 crores net collection. "Animal", at once, looked like it would not only become the biggest second-weekend grosser but also become the first film to score 100 crores, but the collection on Saturday and Sunday came lower than expected to keep at number 2. ## Animal also scored the 4th biggest second Sunday and the biggest ever for an A-rated film with 33.53 crores net collection in Hindi. Mumbai, December 9 - Ranbir Kapoor-led Animal is proving to be an unstoppable force with its record-breaking run at the box office. After commencing the second weekend with the biggest second Friday ever in Hindi, the action drama has again the biggest second Saturday collection by a huge margin. ## The Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial was in full force on its second Saturday and scored an estimated 35 crores net in Hindi and can go up further depending on how strong the jump is in single screens. This takes the total collection of the film to 357+ crores net in Hindi in just 9 days. ## Animal scored an estimated 37-38 crores net in all versions, pushing the total collection in the vicinity of 400 crores net through the second Saturday. Shahid Kapoor's Character Details In Pooja Entertainment's Mythological Epic Revealed

Mumbai, December 9 - Earlier this year, it was reported that Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor would be headlining Pooja Entertainment's mythological film based on the epic Mahabharata. Kannada filmmaker Sachin Ravi, known for directing Rakshit Shetty's action adventure, "Avane Srimannarayana" (2019), was said to be roped in to direct this magnum opus. ## Now, according to a report by Peepingmoon.com, Shahid Kapoor will be playing the role of great warrior Ashwatthama. He was the son of Guru Dronacharya and had received the boon of immortality from Lord Shiva himself. Mumbai, December 7 - Animal concludes the first week with a historic collection of around 340 crores net in all versions. The numbers are all-time highest for an adult-rated Indian movie and this has set up the stage for another huge weekend at the domestic box office. ## The Ranbir Kapoor-led action drama scored an estimated 25-26 crores net in all versions on its first Thursday. In Hindi, it earned around 24 crores net, as per the early estimates. The total Hindi collection has crossed 300 crores net at approx. 302 crores in the first week. ## Animal will again be the first choice of moviegoers in the second weekend which is expected to be over 80 crores net and can go up to 90-95 crores net.
