'Animal' Scored Second Biggest Opening For A Bollywood Movie At The Worldwide Box Office

Mumbai, December 2 - The maiden collaboration between Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga set the box office on fire with their A-rated gangster action drama film Animal. The movie exceeded expectations and scored the second-biggest opening ever for a Bollywood movie globally. ## "Animal", despite the clash with "Sam Bahadur" and carrying a lengthy runtime of over 200 minutes with an adult rating, stunned the trade with the opening of 76+ crores at the domestic box office. It easily scored the second biggest opening for a Bollywood movie after "Jawan" and the biggest for an A-rated in India. ## The film got a major boost from Telugu audiences due to Sandeep Reddy Vanga and has easily become Bollywood's biggest opener ever in the Telugu language by a big margin. Overseas, "Animal" raked in an estimated 40 crores, including premiers. Box Office: 'Animal' First Day Early Estimates; Gigantic Start

Mumbai, December 1 - Animal takes the second biggest opening for an outright Bollywood movie at the domestic box office and exceeds expectations. The gangster action drama recorded solid occupancies throughout the day, despite being an adult-rated film. ## According to early estimates, Animal has scored around 50 crores net collection in the original Hindi version. It might go higher depending on the single screens which remains to see. It is the biggest opening for an "A" rated Indian title by a huge margin and also easily the biggest opening for Ranbir as well as the rest of the cast and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. ## The start for Animal is extraordinary everywhere, especially in Hindi and Telugu. 'Animal' and 'Sam Bahadur' To Repeat 'Oh My Gadar 2' Success At The Box Office?

Mumbai, November 26 - The Hindi box office showed its potential when Sunny Deol's "Gadar 2" and Akshay Kumar's "OMG 2" combined grossed approximately 800 crores in India after getting a same-day and date release, on August 11, 2023. This was the highest combined total of two Bollywood movies that were released on the same day.## In Gadar 2 and OMG 2 clash, fondly called "Oh My Gadar 2", the former created records by becoming the highest net-grosser ever in Hindi before the record was broken by Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan". The Akshay Kumar-starrer sequel too had a big success despite the clash and emerged as much needed hit for the actor. ## Almost three months later, Bollywood is again in the same position when two much-awaited films, Ranbir Kapoor-led Animal, and Vicky Kaushal-starrer Sam Bahadur are releasing on the same day, December 1st. The initial indications suggest that both movies may have success at the box office despite competing against each other, just like "Oh My Gadar 2". ## The advance booking of both films opened yesterday and the initial trend indicates Animal going Gadar 2 way while Sam Bahadur repeating OMG 2. 'Animal' Advance Booking Off To Very Good Start

Mumbai, November 25 - The advance booking of Ranbir Kapoor-led gangster action drama Animal is off to a solid start in India, selling over 30K tickets worth around 1 crore gross in no time for the opening day. The full-fledged advances will commence on Sunday, November 26 all over India. ## Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, "Animal" has been a hugely anticipated film and the expectations increased multi-fold after the trailer which was launched on November 23. The trailer got massive appreciation all around and this has been a big factor in the initial response to the pre-sales. ## The national chain, PVR-INOX opened pre-sales today (November 25) and within hours, the film sold over 7500 tickets, and including Cinepolis, it has sold around 10K tickets in the three national chains. The initial indications promise huge advance booking of the movie which is expected. ## Apart from India, the response to pre-sales of "Animal" has been very good so far in some of the key international markets. In North America, the film has sold over 12K tickets, of which around 7K tickets were sold after the trailer launch. ## The film is produced by T-Series, Bhadrakali Pictures, and Cine1 Studios. Mumbai, November 25 - The first teaser/trailer of Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan's aerial action thriller Fighter is getting ready to release in the first week of December 2023, according to a report by Pinkvilla. ## Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Fighter" marks his third film with Hrithik after "Bang Bang" and "War". It is among the most anticipated films of 2024 and is expected to become one of the biggest hits of the year. Deepika Padukone is playing the female lead alongside Anil Kapoor in a key role. ## The shoot of the film was recently completed and post-production is going on in full swing. Box Office: 'Animal' To Challange 'Sanju' Opening To Emerge Biggest Opener For Ranbir Kapoor

Mumbai, November 23 - Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga have teamed up for the first time for a gangster action drama film, titled Animal. The movie is scheduled to release on December 1st, and unsurprisingly, it has been certified with an "A" rating by CBFC with an approved runtime of 3 hours and 21 minutes, making it one of the longest Indian films ever. ## Sandeep Reddy Vanga has directed three films including "Animal" and all three got approved by CBFC with the adult certificate. The previous two films, the Telugu hardcore romantic drama "Arjun Reddy" and its Hindi remake "Kabir Singh" were massive box office successes and now, "Animal" is expected to join the list. ## Interestingly, "Kabir Singh" starring Shahid Kapoor is the biggest "A" rated Indian opener with over 20 crores net and is also the highest-grossing adult-rated film with approx. 377 crores worldwide. "Animal", despite its lengthy runtime, will be eyeing to claim the top spot that too by a huge margin. ## The trailer of the film was launched on November 23 and it got a tremendous reception all around. The trade already had high expectations from the movie at the box office and now after the excellent response to the trailer, the anticipation has increased multifold and it should easily emerge as the biggest opener in the "A" rated category. ## Since the advance booking has not opened yet (scheduled to start on November 26), it is still premature to predict the opening of the film, however, given the talent involved in it and the excellent response to the trailer, "Animal" will challenge the opening of "Sanju" which is Ranbir's biggest opener to date in Hindi with 34.75 crores net. ## "Animal" is expected to do very well in the dubbed versions, especially in Telugu due to Sandeep Reddy Vanga's factor as well as Ranbir Kapoor who had success with his recent movies in South. Jr. NTR and Hrithik Roshan To Commence 'War 2' Shooting In February 2024

Mumbai, November 23 - Yash Raj Films' next offering, War 2 is among the most anticipated Indian films. The film is a part of YRF's Spy Universe which is already a massive blockbuster and is expected to reach new heights with Ayan Mukerji's directorial. ## As known to everyone, "War 2" will see Hrithik Roshan reprising his role as RAW agent Kabir while Telugu superstar Jr. NTR will be making his Bollywood debut with this. 'Adipurush' Final Worldwide Box Office Collection and Records

Mumbai, November 22 - Director Om Raut, after the huge blockbuster success of "Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero" in 2020, came up with the even bigger or perhaps the biggest film of his career Adipurush. The film starred superstar Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, and Sunny Singh, among others in key roles.## Produced by T-Series and Retrophiles, "Adipurush" was director Raut's modern take on the epic "Ramayana" and he announced the film with huge enthusiasm in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the filmmaker had no idea back then that it was going to be the most horrible experience of his career and that he shouldn't have modernized the epic. ## The movie had already become the centre of controversy when the first teaser was dropped last year.
