Mumbai, April 21 - Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor and actress Marunal Thakur's long-awaited "Jersey" is finally releasing in theaters on April 22. Shahid is coming on the big screen for the first time since the blockbuster success of "Kabir Singh" in 2019, so the expectations are high for this movie at the box office. ## "Jersey" is the official remake of Nani's Telugu movie of the same name. Gowtam Tinnanuri, who directed the original movie, has helmed the Hindi version also. Mumbai, April 21 - Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi's action thriller film, Khuda Haafiz: Chapter II – Agni Pariksha, has set a release date in theaters. The first part of the film was released directly on Disney Plus Hotstar in August 2020 and was a successful outing on the digital platform. ## Khuda Haafiz Chapter 1 created a decent buzz and makers thought it will be a good idea to bring its successor to the theaters. Set during the financial crisis of 2007–2008, the film is inspired by true events and follows Sameer Chaudhary, a young man who races against time to rescue his kidnapped wife Nargis from flesh traders.## Chapter 2, which is slated to release on June 17, 2022, in theaters, is expected to be more intense packed with action, that's why it has been named, Agni Pariksha. KGF Chapter 2 Races Past 700 Crores Worldwide Gross; Becomes The 8th Biggest Indian Film

Mumbai, April 21 - Yash-starrer KGF Chapter 2 has breached the 700 crores worldwide gross mark in just 7 days and becomes only the 8th Indian movie to achieve the feat. This is the second Indian movie to gross 700+ worldwide within a month, after SS Rajamouli's RRR, which currently stands at approx 1100 crores. ## The Prashanth Neel-directed movie has broken several records during the first seven days of its release. It has scored nearly three times more than the previous highest-grossing Kannada movie, KGF Chapter 1, which had grossed 238 crores worldwide. Chapter 2 has minted 702 crores through the first Wednesday (7th day). ## The Hindi version of this period action drama film has reached past 250 crores (255.05 cr.) net mark, which is the fastest ever in Hindi. It has also grossed 300 crores in Hindi at the domestic box office. Los Angeles, April 21 - Sony Pictures has pushed back the release dates of its much-anticipated superhero movies. The studio, on Wednesday, announced that "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse", which was slated for theatrical release on October 7 this year, will now open on June 2, 2023. Instead, Sony's live-action/CGI musical comedy Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile — based on the book series by Bernard Waber, will now debut on Oct. 7 from November 18, 2022. ## "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" is the first of a two-part sequel to 2018's "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse", which pushed the boundaries of animation and collected a best animated Oscar. It is easily the most-anticipated Spider-Man animated movie. ## Meanwhile, the second part of "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse", has landed a release date of March 29, 2024. Opening Day Box Office Prediction Of Shahid Kapoor's 'Jersey'

Mumbai, April 20 - Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is readying for the release of his long-awaited sports drama movie, Jersey, on April 22. The Hindi remake of the Telugu hit of the same name, Jersey, was supposed to release on April 14 itself but was postponed at the 11th hour to avoid a direct clash with Yash-fronted KGF Chapter 2', which is going all guns blazing at the box office. ## Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Jersey also stars Mrunal Thakur. The movie carries a lot of expectations as far as the box office is concerned, however, it won't be easy for it to have a smooth outing. It might have avoided a direct clash with KGF 2, but, things are still not in favor of it. ## KGF Chapter 2 is running riot at the Hindi box office, and will easily be able to retain a significant number of screens in the second week as well. Jersey, on the other hand, is expected to release on around 2000 screens. While these are enough screens for any mid-budget Bollywood film to take a healthy start, the same can't be said for Jersey, which is having low advance booking numbers with only two days to release. ## On any other day, Jersey could have taken the opening of 15-20 crores, keeping Shahid Kapoor's stardom. However, with KGF 2 being the first choice of moviegoers, Jersey, might reduce to the opening of 5-7 crores on the first day, which will be considered a decent start. The advance of the film till April 20 is around 70 lakh, which is very low. The makers are looking very confident about their product, and if it meets with the audience's expectation, then it could build upon that and score a healthy weekend of around 25-27 crores.## Shahid Kapoor's last film, Kabir Singh, was a massive blockbuster and it scored over 370 crores worldwide. However, it was released during the pre-covid time and there was no KGF-sque movie to hamper its chances. The makers would still be hoping for the film to fair well at the box office, that is the reason they didn't send the movie to digital way despite getting big offers. ## "Jersey" is produced by Aman Gill, Dil Raju, Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, and Allu Aravind under the banners of Brat Films, Sithara Entertainments, Dil Raju Production, and Allu Entertainment. It will see one of the biggest box office clashes in the form of "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" and "Dunki". ## On Tuesday (April 19), Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and the blockbuster machine, director Rajkumar Hirani, announced their maiden collaboration, titled "Dunki". The duo was supposed to collaborate in the past but things didn't work well. But finally, SRK and Raju Hirani are coming together to set the box office on fire. ## The shooting of "Dunki", which is based on illegal immigration called Donkey Flight, has already begun last week in Mumbai. The new schedule is being shot extensively in Punjab. Produced by Rajkumar Hirani Films and Red Chillies Entertainment in association with JIO Studios, the movie also stars Taapsee Pannu as the female lead along with Boman Irani. It is written by Rajkumar Hirani, Abhijaat Joshi, and Kanika Dhillon.## "Dunki" has been announced to release on December 22, 2023, on the occasion of Christmas and it will meet Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's action thriller "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" with director Ali Abbas Zafar. The movie was announced earlier in February this year under the production banner of Pooja Entertainment, and it brings the two biggest action stars in Bollywood, Akshay, and Tiger together for the first time. ## "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" was also announced for Christmas 2023 release in multiple languages, however, the shoot for the same is yet to begin.
