Akshay Kumar's Amazon Prime Video Series 'The End' Delayed Again

Mumbai, March 11 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar was supposed to commence the shooting for his Amazon Prime Video series "The End" this year, but it seems the series is getting delayed further. ## Prime Video has announced "The End" with Akshay in 2019, during an event in Mumbai. But, before it could go on floors, the coronavirus pandemic hit the country and it was delayed indefinitely. Last year, Vikram Malhotra of Abundantia Entertainment, the co-producer of the series, said in an interview that it would go on floors by early 2022. ## However, with development yet, Akshay Kumar has now said that it is delayed to the next year as the makers are not happy with the screenplay. "We were going to start this year but we were not satisfied with the screenplay. Amazon was not satisfied, so we are still working on it and if everything goes well, we should start by next year's beginning", said Akshay during the media interaction.## Meanwhile, the actor is busy promoting his upcoming romantic action comedy film, "Bachchhan Paandey", which is slated to release in theaters on March 18. The movie also stars Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Arshad Warsi in key roles. Mumbai, March 11 - Warner Bros. has preponed the release date of its upcoming fantasy film "Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore" in India. ## The third installment in the Fantastic Beasts film series was supposed to release on April 15 with the USA release, but now, it will arrive a week early on April 8 in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. ## The move to shift the release of the film early is understandable knowing the fact that the April second weekend will see India's one of the biggest films, "KGF - Chapter 2" hitting the big screens on April 14. The Yash-starrer is expected to grab most of the screens and it would have badly hit "Fantastic Beasts 3's" box office chances in India. ## The film, which is directed by David Yates, is set several years after the events of The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018). It follows Albus Dumbledore tasking Newt Scamander and his allies with a mission that takes them into the heart of dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald's army. ## Its ensemble cast includes Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Callum Turner, Jessica Williams, Katherine Waterston, and Mads Mikkelsen. And the filmmaker has not renewed it as he still doesn't see the film happening anytime soon. Most of these movies are said to be heavy on VFX which is taking longer than expected times in post-production during Covid. ## According to Deadline, Dwayne Johnson-led "Black Adam", which was supposed to release on July 29, will now hit theaters after nearly 4 months on October 21, 2022. The animated superhero movie, "DC League of Super-Pets", in which Johnson has voiced Krypto the Superdog, moves from May 20 to July 29. ## Ezra Miller-fronted "The Flash", which alone has 2,500 VFX shots, is moving to June 23, 2023, from November 4, this year. It is one of DCs most-anticipated films that also marks Michael Keaton's return as Batman after nearly 30 years. He will also be seen as Batman in "Batgirl", due to the premiere on HBO Max in 2022. ## Among some other high-profile postponements, Jason Momoa-led highly awaited "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" also moves to 2023. It was slated for December 16, 2022, release but now will debut in theaters on March 17. Meanwhile, "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" moves up and will take "Aquaman 2's" slot. Mumbai, March 9 - The sequel to director Denis Villeneuve's Oscars 2022 nominated sci-fi film, "Dune", is getting bigger with new faces are set to join the returning cast that includes Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, and Javier Bardem, among others. ## According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios' "Black Widow" star, Florence Pugh, is in talks with makers to join "Dune Part 2", which is slated to commence the filming this summer. Pugh is in consideration to play Princess Irulan, and if the deal is made, she would be the first of franchise 3 newcomers to join the cast of the film. ## Apart from Pugh's casting, the project is casting two more parts, including Emperor Shaddam IV, the ruler who sends the Atreides family to Arrakis, and Feyd-Rautha, the cunning nephew of the baron who heads House Harkonnen. Pugh's Princess Irulan is the daughter of the Emperor. ## "Dune Part 2" will be the continuation of the first part, which was released in October 2021. Based on a 1965 novel of the same name by Frank Herbert, the sequel will tell the rest of the book with Paul Atreides (Chalamet) fighting alongside the Fremen to free the desert planet of Arrakis from the grips of House Harkonnen.## The script of "Dune Part 2" is still being written with Legendary Pictures hoping to begin filming this summer.
