Director Puri Jagannadh Announces 'Double iSmart' With Ram Pothineni; Sets Pan India Release Date

Hyderabad, May 14 - Amid the rumours, the sequel to director Puri Jagannadh's 2019 action entertainer iSmart Shankar with Ram Pothineni has officially been announced on the evening of the actor's birthday. ## The sequel has been titled Double iSmart and it will Ram Pothineni returning as Shankar/Arun, but it is not sure whether the rest of the cast will also return. The movie will be produced by Puri Jangannadh and Charmme Kaur under the banner of Puri Connects.## The shoot of "Double iSmart" is expected to commence around September/October this year as the movie has been confirmed to release on March 8, 2024, on the occasion of Mahashivratri. Producer Ritesh Sidhwani Gives A Major Update On Shah Rukh Khan's 'Don 3'

Mumbai, May 14 - The third installment of superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Don has been in the making for a long time but it kept getting delayed. And just when fans' hope started getting shattered, producer Ritesh Sidhwani provides a major update on Don 3. ## During a recent interview, Ritesh Sidhwani confirmed that Farhan Akhtar is in the phase of completing the script soon and once it gets locked, the makers will take the next step. The co-partner with Farhan Akhtar at Excel Entertainment, Ritesh further said that the team is excited and waiting to see Don on the big screen soon. ## The first "Don" movie was released in 2006, followed by the second installment in 2011 with SRK and Priyanka Chopra among others reprising their roles. The first part is the remake of Amitabh Bachchan's 1978 film of the same name as Excel Entertainment bought the rights. ## Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is currently shooting for Rajkumar Hirani's "Dunki" which is slated to release on Christmas this year (as of now). Dulquer Salmaan's 'King of Kotha' Audio Rights Get Sold In Record Price

Kochi, May 14 - Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan's gangster drama King of Kotha is one of the most anticipated Mollywood movies. The movie is carrying huge expectations among the audiences as well as in the trade which is banking big on this. ## Directed by Abhilash Joshiy, "King of Kotha" is currently in the post-production work as it is gearing up to release in August this year during the Onam festival. Meanwhile, ahead of the much-awaited release, the makers have sold the audio rights of the film to Sony Music at a record price.## According to reports, Sony Music has acquired the audio rights of "King of Kotha" for a whopping sum of Rs 6 crore, which is said to be an all-time record for a Malayalam movie. Mumbai, May 13 - The blockbuster hit The Kerala Story stormed into the 100 crores net club in some style by recording the biggest single-day collection of its box office run so far. ## After scoring an excellent second Friday, the drama film went into beast mode and scored an estimated 19+ crores net collection on its second Saturday. The movie has shot at hitting 20 crores net depending on where the night shows finish. ## The second Saturday collection of the movie takes total domestic cume to around 112 crores in just 9 days, making it the 4th Bollywood movie of the year to enter the 100 crore club. With this, The Kerala Story also crossed Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan's domestic total of around 110 crores net.## Directed by Sudipto Sen, The Kerala Story is showing the same trend as Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files on a day-wise basis. Even though these types of movies don't get affected much by new releases still the lack of strong competition from new films has ensured another super solid week for The Kerala Story. ## On tomorrow (Sunday), the movie will easily score over 20 crores net for over 50 crores net second weekend total. Los Angeles, May 13 - Warner Bros' DC superhero movie The Flash is gearing up to bring the studio back in the frame after the disastrous result of "Shazam! Fury of the Gods". It is scheduled to release on June 16 worldwide. ## Ahead of the film's release, the theatrical runtime of "The Flash" has been revealed. As per One Take News, the Ezra Miller-fronted film will be 144 minutes (2 hours and 24 minutes) long, making it the fourth-longest film in the DCU.## Only "Zack Snyder's Justice League" (4 hours and 2 minutes), "Wonder Woman 1984" (2 hours and 31 minutes), and "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" (2 hours and 32 minutes) boast more extended showings than "The Flash".## Directed by Andy Muschietti, "The Flash" stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash alongside Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue, Michael Keaton, and Ben Affleck in key roles.## In the movie, Barry Allen/The Flash travels back in time to prevent his mother's murder, which traps him in an alternate reality without metahumans. Los Angeles, May 13 - The Fast and Furious saga is one step closer to its end but it can't get done without one of the franchise's biggest assets, Dwayne Johnson. ## Dwayne Johnson, who last appeared in the Fast & Furious spin-off "Hobbs & Shaw" in 2019, previously told that he would never be making his comeback in the franchise, but it seems that has become a thing of the past as according to The Wrap, the Hollywood superstar is all set for one final ride in the franchise.## As per the report, Dwayne Johnson has returned to the "Fast and Furious" franchise, making an appearance in the post-credits sequence for the upcoming Fast X, which releases next week on May 19.## The return of The Rock may surprise many as he was adamant about not making a comeback to the blockbuster action series after having some issues with Vin Diesel, the star and producer of the franchise. Diesel, however, requested Johnson to put the issues aside and come back to the series, in an Instagram post in November 2021.## In another surprising news, there could be the 12th film in the franchise after Vin Diesel said that Universal Pictures has asked if "Fast X" could be turned into a trilogy. Los Angeles, May 12 - Hollywood actor and filmmaker Johnny Depp is all set to make his return to the director's chair and announced that he will be directing Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani's biopic, titled Modi. He was fondly called Modi among his friends.## The last film directed by Depp is "The Brave" which was released in 1997. According to Deadline, "Modi" will be headlined by Italian star Riccardo Scamarcio who is known for his roles in "John Wick: Chapter 2", "The Best of Youth", and Paolo Sorrentino's "Loro".## Johnny Depp will also co-produce the film alongside Al Pacino and Barry Navidi. Apart from Riccardo Scamarcio who will play the titular role, the movie will also feature Pierre Niney as French artist Maurice Utrillo, and Pacino as art collector Gangnat. ## Written by Jerzy and Mary Kromolowski, "Modi" is based on Dennis McIntyre's play "Modigliani". It takes place over a 48-hour period and follows Modigliani as he tries to end his career and flee the city while being chased by the police. The shoot for the same will commence in Budapest this fall. ## Meanwhile, apart from his directorial return with "Modi", Johnny Depp will headline the French biographical drama film "Jeanne du Barry".
