Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor's 'Bawaal' Release Date Revealed On Amazon Prime Video

Mumbai, June 27 - Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor's "Bawaal", directed by Nitesh Tiwari, has been confirmed to bypass the theatrical release in order to stream directly on Amazon Prime Video.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, "Bawaal" was originally planned for a big screen release, but the makers recently confirmed that it would be streaming directly on Prime Video in July this year.



According to Bollywood Hungama, the makers originally thought of July 28 release, but now, it will be streaming from July 21. It is said that Varun Dhawan and others in the core team felt that it won't be a correct move as Karan Johar's "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani" releases on July 28.

Varun Dhawan made his debut under Karan Johar's production with "Student of The Year" (2012) and share a special relationship with him. The actor reportedly didn't want his movie to clash with RRKPK so he convinced the makers to change the date which they reportedly agreed to.

"Bawaal" is said to be about a small-town man who falls in love with the most beautiful girl in town. He wants to marry her one day because marrying her can rise up his social position. It is a romantic comedy-drama that also stars Parth Siddhpura, Shashie Vermaa, and Satendra Soni, among others.
