Kamal Haasan Hypes Up His 'Indian 2' With Director Shankar

Chennai, June 28 - Legendary actor Kamal Haasan reunites with director Shankar for the sequel to the 1996 film Indian. After many delays, the shoot of "Indian 2" is having at a brisk pace and it will be wrapped soon as the makers are planning to release the first early next year.

As the shoot of "Indian 2" is progressing, it seems Kamal Haasan is mighty impressed with the output director Shankar has shot so far. On Wednesday, the "Vikram" star took to Twitter to announce that he has watched the main scenes of "Indian 2" and called them the peak of Shankar's artistic abilities.



"I watched the main scenes of 'Indian 2' today. My best wishes @shankarshanmugh. My advice is that this should not be your peak. Because this is the highest stage of your artistic life. Don't take this to the top and be proud. In search of many new heights", the actor Tweeted.

Kamal Haasan also gifted a watch to Shankar as an appreciation gesture for "Indian 2".

"Indian 2" is produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies. The vigilante action thriller movie also stars S. J. Suryah, Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, and Rakul Preet Singh among many others in key roles. There is no release date announced yet but reports say the movie is getting ready to release on Pongal 2024 in multiple languages.
