London, October 13 - After becoming the biggest Tamil opening day grosser ever, Thalapathy Vijay's highly-awaited Leo goes a step further to emerge as the biggest Indian opener at the UK box office in advance booking itself, beating Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan".## Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, "Leo" has so far grossed £320.5K (3.25 crores) advance booking collection for the opening day with 6 days still to go for the release. SRK's mega-blockbuster "Pathaan" was previously the biggest Indian opener in the UK with £319K, which it scored in January this year. ## Interestingly, in the top 5 biggest Indian openers at the UK box office, "Leo" is the only non-Bollywood movie. It was previously reported that the makers were looking to release the movie on either November 10 or 13, but now, it has been locked on November 12 in India as well as internationally.## It will have a Sunday release on Diwali, a unique strategy adopted by Yash Raj Films keeping everything in mind. The movie is a sequel to 2019's "Captain Marvel" which was a massive box-office blockbuster.## Directed by Nia DaCosta, "The Marvels" is the third film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's (MCU) Phase 5, and the first since "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" in May 2023. Being a sequel to a highly successful blockbuster, the upcoming movie carries big expectations as far as the box office is concerned but the early projections are indicating otherwise.## According to Box Office Pro, the superhero sequel is tracking to earn $50 million - $75 million in the domestic (North America) opening weekend, which is less than half of $153.4 million opening of 2019's "Captain Marvel". NCD was a big success last year which saw over 6 million people visit theaters to watch the films and the same is expected this time as well. ## As far as the Bollywood movies are concerned, Shah Rukh Khan-fronted "Jawan", Akshay Kumar's "Mission Raniganj", and comic caper "Fukrey 3" are set for big gains. All three films have combined sold over 5 lakh tickets for tomorrow and the numbers are increasing rapidly with each passing hour. ## Action thriller "Jawan" has already completed 5 weeks with a domestic gross collection of around 745 crores till now. The NCD 2023 will give the audiences a chance to watch this mega-blockbuster on the big screen at such low prices. The movie has sold over 3 lakh tickets for NCD.## Akshay Kumar's "Mission Raniganj" has a dismal show so far with a domestic gross collection of just 21.50 crores in 7 days. The advance booking for NCD, however, is excellent as it has sold around 3.25 lakh tickets which is excellent for a film performing low at the box office.## "Fukrey 3" is leading the advance booking with around 4 lakh tickets for NCD which is its 16th day.
