Mumbai, November 1 - Superstar Salman Khan's much-awaited spy action thriller Tiger 3 is ready to release on November 12. In an unexpected turn, the movie will be released on Sunday, the day of the Diwali festival. ## Owing to the huge demand and a lot of enquiry at the ticket window, Yash Raj Films has decided to commence the first show of the film at 7 AM on November 12. The booking for the movie will commence on November 5, a week before the movie hits the big screen. ## Directed by Maneesh Sharma, "Tiger 3" is the 5th movie in YRF's Spy Universe and follows the events of "Tiger Zinda Hai", "War", and "Pathaan". Salman Khan returns to play the titular role of RAW agent Avinash Singh Rathore aka Tiger alongside Katrina Kaif as Zoya, an ex-ISI agent. Emraan Hashmi plays the lead villain Aatish Rehman while Shah Rukh Khan plays a cameo as Pathaan.## This is the third instalment in the Tiger franchise, one of the most loved film series in Indian cinema. The first movie, "Ek Tha Tiger" was released in 2012 and became a big blockbuster, followed by "Tiger Zinda Hai" in 2017 which took things a notch higher. Mumbai, October 31 - Ishaan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur's war drama film Pippa has been in production for a long time. Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, the movie was supposed to be released in December last year but was postponed due to the delay in the post-production work. ## A few months back, it was revealed that "Pippa" would be shifted to 2024 as the movie is VFX heavy and needed more time for the same. Now, according to the latest reports, the film is skipping theatrical release and will directly be streaming on Amazon Prime Video. ## It is said that the debacle box office performance of Kangana Ranaut-led "Tejas", produced by RSVP Movies, has made RSVP and Roy Kapur Films change the release strategy. The team has reportedly decided to skip the theatrical release and sold it Prime Video for the exclusive OTT debut. The official announcement is expected to be made soon with the trailer. ## "Pippa" is based on the war memoir The Burning Chaffees written by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. It tells the story of the intense 48-hour Battle of Garibpur, which was fought on the eastern front during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971 and which laid the foundation for the impending war. ## Centred around Brigadier Mehta’s 45 Cavalry tank squadron, Pippa’s title refers to the magnificent Russian amphibious war tank, the PT-76, which was lovingly called “Pippa”, since like an empty ghee da dabba it smoothly floated on the water.## The film portrays the coming-of-age of both the young Mehta and our nation, as they both step up to prove themselves in a war for the liberation of another country. Sources added that the movie will go on floors in 2024 and will release in 2025. This is likely to be a huge project given that it is about one of India’s music legends and has uber-talented Dhanush playing the role. The project is said to be produced by Connekkt Media", the tweet reads.## Isaignani Illaiyaraaja is one of the most decorated Indian musicians. He has worked in over 1000 films and has been awarded Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan by the government of India along with 5 national awards. ## Interestingly, Yuvan Shankar Raja, who is the third and youngest child of Ilaiyaraaja, had said a few months back that he would love to see Dhanush playing the role of his father in his biopic and it seems, things are falling in place. As known to everyone, the "Ghayal" actor is already doing a mass entertainer Baap which is currently in the post-production work for a 2024 release. ## Sunny is shooting for a social drama film currently, which is expected to be released in the first half of 2024. The next film to be commenced by Sunny is Rajkumar Santoshi's period action drama film Lahore 1947, which will be produced by Aamir Khan. According to Pinkvilla, the actor will team with director duo Abbas-Mustan for a big-budget action thriller, set to go on floors in 2024. ## Other than all the films mentioned above, the "Indian" actor is discussing several other scripts too, which include a film with Mythri Productions, and then, there is Gadar 3, which is reportedly lined up for Independence Day 2025 weekend release, two years after the second instalment while the possibility of "Apne 2" is also on. ## The mega success of "Gadar 2" has turned to tide of Sunny, who once was one of the most successful Indian actors during the 90s and early 20s. Chennai, October 30 - Thalapathy Vijay's action drama Leo has become the second highest-grossing film in Tamil Nadu, beating superstar Rajinikanth's mega-blockbuster "Jailer". Lokesh Kanagaraj's directorial is also inching towards hitting the 200 crores mark in the state. ## The latest Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) blockbuster crossed "Jailer" in 12 days. The Rajini-led movie scored approximately 189.50 crores gross collection in Tamil Nadu and "Leo" scored around 191.50 crores. It is now behind only Mani Ratnam's "Ponniyin Selvan - 1" which grossed approx. 213 crores last year. ## "Leo" will become only the second movie to top 200 crores gross in Tamil Nadu and it is heading towards finishing around 210 crores gross. The movie, however, has the potential to become the number 1 movie in the state and it needs to hold strong during the weekdays. ## Produced by Seven Screen Studio, the third LCU movie has already become the third highest-grossing Tamil movie of all time at the worldwide box office. It minted approx. 543 crores gross in 12 days. The movie, however, is still approximately 62 crores behind "Jailer" which is the second-biggest Tamil movie. The social comedy-drama film is directed by maverick Rajkumar Hirani and this marks his maiden collaboration with SRK.## "Dunki" is scheduled to release during the Christmas weekend this year, possibly on December 21st worldwide, the makers are gearing up to kickstart promotion by launching a teaser on Shah Rukh Khan's birthday on November 2nd. According to a report by Pinkvilla, Shah Rukh Khan will watch the teaser with his fans in Mumbai. ## It is revealed that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has certified two teasers of "Dunki" with a clean U certificate. The first teaser is said to be 58 seconds long while the second teaser is 1 minute and 49 seconds long. ## It is not known yet which teaser will be released on November 2nd, however, rumours are rife that the makers will launch both teasers. Hyderabad, October 30 - Veteran Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna has completed the hattrick of 100 crores grosser at the worldwide box office with his latest action drama Bhagavanth Kesari. Earlier, "Akhanda" and "Veera Simha Reddy" achieved this feat. ## Directed by Anil Ravipudi, "Bhagavanth Kesari has crossed the 100 crores gross mark as I type this (in 12 days) and becomes the 6th Telugu movie of the year to do so. The movie scored approximately 99 crores gross through the second Sunday (11 days) and is expected to be around 101 crores at the end of the second Monday. ## "Bhagavanth Kesari" has minted approximately 86 crores gross at the Indian box office and an estimated 13 crores overseas through second Sunday. There were some more box office winners in the form of "Mark Antony", "Maamannan", "Maaveeran", "Vaathi/SIR", and "Viduthalai Part - 1", but it was "Jailer" and "Leo" that packed the knockout punch. ## Superstar Rajinikanth's action drama Jailer, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, was released during the Independence Day weekend on August 10 and made the most of the holiday period. The movie got a largely positive reception and went on to become the second highest-grossing Tamil movie of all time, grossing over 600 crores worldwide. ## Director Lokesh Kanagaraj's latest LCU entrant Leo, starring Thalapathy Vijay, is not far behind "Jailer" despite getting a mixed reception. And now, the makers are gearing up to bring the next instalment of the franchise. ## The makers have already confirmed that there could be "Gadar 3", and as per the latest reports, the movie is indeed happening. Despite mixed reception regarding the second half, the film is doing very well at the box office and crossed 500 crores gross mark worldwide in 10 days.## The filmmaker, during the trailer launch event of Karthi's "Japan" today, accepted the public opinion that there were some flaws in the second half of "Leo", and promised to come up with a stronger output in his next film in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). ## As known to everyone, "Leo" is the third film in the LCU and the next in the series is Karthi's "Kaithi 2" which will commence by the end of this year. During the event, Lokesh informed the audience that he wrote "Leo" some five years back and didn't want to change the script much by adding extra elements and promised that "Kaithi 2" would be stronger than his previous films. ## The director also revealed that Thalapathy Vijay is happy with the success of "Leo", and also said that he saw the theatre response of the audience cheering for the movie. The action thriller movie exceeded expectations in the first week and carried the momentum in the second weekend to set the stage for another big weekend at the box office. ## Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, "Leo" scored approximately 9.25 crores gross on its 9th day, pushing total domestic gross collection to 320 crores. Overseas, the film has grossed an estimated 169 crores for over 489 crores worldwide gross collection in 9 days.## The latest LCU blockbuster will cross the 500 crores gross mark today, on its 10th day at the worldwide box office and will become the third Tamil movie of all time to achieve the feat. The movie is expected to score 15 crores gross today which will take its total collection to around 504 crores in 10 days. ## "Leo" has already become Thalapathy Vijay's and director Lokesh's highest-grosser and today, it will become their first 500 crores worldwide grosser movie.
