Sunny Deol's 'Lahore 1947' With Rajkumar Santoshi Targets Republic Day 2025 Release
Mumbai, May 14 - In October last year, Sunny Deol announced his reunion with veteran director Rajkumar Santoshi for a period action drama film, titled Lahore 1947. Aamir Khan is bankrolling this project which is said to be based on Asghar Wajahat's acclaimed Punjabi play, "Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya O Jamyai Nai".## The shoot of the film, which also stars Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, and Mona Singh in key roles, is going on at a brisk pace and according to the report by Pinkvilla, the entire filming is expected to be wrapped by the end of June this year with nearly a month of the shoot left. ## It is said that Lahore 1947 is loaded with drama and emotions as larger-than-life elements arise out of the dramatic moments and characterization. Meanwhile, the makers are targeting the Republic Day 2025 release as already speculated. The film is in sync with the patriotic mood of Republic Day. ## Lahore 1947 also reportedly has a cameo role of Aamir Khan, however, the makers haven't confirmed the same yet though reports say he has already shot for his portion in the film.
