Varun Dhawan's 'Baby John' Release Date Postponed

Mumbai, April 13 - Varun Dhawan's much-awaited action drama Baby John has reportedly been postponed from its May 31st release. Directed by Tamil filmmaker Kalees, the movie is still in production and needs some more time to be completed. ## According to a report by Peepingmoon.com, Baby John has so far been shot for more than 75 days since August 2023 but still has 10-12 days of shooting remaining, which is expected to be wrapped up by April-end. The movie will follow an extensive post-production. ## Also starring Keerthy Suresh (Bollywood debut) and Wamiqa Gabbi among others, the makers are now reportedly looking to release the film in June/July but the exact date will be locked once the shoot is wrapped up. The movie is produced by Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios, and A for Apple Productions. ## Meanwhile, superstar Prabhas' sci-fi Pan India movie Kalki 2898 AD is looking to release on May 31st after reportedly getting postponed from May 9 release due to general elections in Telugu states around this date. Box Office: Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan Second Day/First Friday Early Estimates

Mumbai, April 12 - After the underwhelming Eid opening day, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff-fronted Bade Miyan Chote Miyan dropped by over 50% on its second day which is a worrying sign for the film's box office prospects. ## According to early estimates, BMCM scores around 7 crores net collection on its first Friday, pushing the total to around 22.50 crores net in two days. The movie received mixed to negative word of mouth which has started showing its effect from the second day itself despite the Eid buzz. ## The film needs to perform exceptionally well on Saturday and Sunday to take the opening weekend past 50 crores mark, however, it won't be easy as advances for the weekend are currently lower than the opening day. ## Ajay Devgn-starrer Maidaan too couldn't make a move after the disappointing first-day collection of approximately 4.50 crores net. On its second day, the movie dropped by over 40% for an estimated 2.50-3 crores net despite the opening day itself was not huge enough to justify the drop. ## The total collection of Maidaan after two days + paid preview is around 9.75 crores net which is poor. Warner Bros. In Talks To Distribute Epic 'Ramayana' Internationally

Mumbai, April 12 - Director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana is shaping up to be a global phenomenon with every development around it. In India, the film is already a hot topic with its casting along with Kannada superstar Yash coming on board to co-produce and starring in it. ## Producer Namit Malhotra of Prime Focus is working day and night to make Ramayana a global force and according to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the filmmaker is in talks with Hollywood studio Warner Bros. Mumbai, April 12 - Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's action thriller Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was released on the Eid holiday but performed underwhelming at the box office. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the movie scored an estimated 15.50 crores net collection in Hindi. ## Eid has been one of the biggest days for the Bollywood box office but BMCM failed to seize the opportunity by not being able to generate enough buzz to score big on the day. Yash Officially Joins 'Ramayana' As Co-Producer And Actor

Mumbai, April 12 - Kannada superstar and producer, Yash has officially joined director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana. The actor-filmmaker's Monster Mind Creations will co-produce with Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios to bring this epic to global audiences. ## The upcoming adaptation of Ramayana is touted to be a dream project, not just for the talent involved but for Indian cinema overall. Box Office: Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan Opening Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, April 11 - The Bollywood box office sees a low response on Eid day as both the big releases of the day, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and Maidaan fail to capture the attention of moviegoers with underwhelming numbers. ## Both films are struggling to reach the 20 crore net mark combined which is disappointing. According to early estimates, Akshay Kumar, and Tiger Shroff-fronted BMCM scores around 15-16 crores net collection, all thanks to the last-minute push in advances and Eid holiday factor. ## After the initial response in pre-sales, BMCM was heading for a low double-digit start but got some sort of momentum in the final hours and spot booking to get a little push in the collection. The movie needs a big push over the weekend to get a respectable weekend total. ## Ajay Devgn-fronted Maidaan, which is more of a multiplex film, scores an estimated 4.50-5 crores net collection on opening day. It minted around 2.50 crores in Wednesday paid previews, so the full first-day total is around 7+ crores, which would have been decent had it been a pure opening day. ## Maidaan is likely to see a good jump over the weekend due to positive word of mouth. Mumbai, April 10 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, and Tiger Shroff's long-awaited action entertainer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, also starring Prithviraj Sukumaran is hitting the big screens on April 11 and the expectations are high from this one as far as the box office concerned. ## Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, BMCM advances were opened nearly a week before the release but the response in the pre-sales was an absolute disaster until the last hours during which the sales jumped huge from what they were 12 hours before the release. ## As of 11 PM on April 10, the advance sales of BMCM are approximately 4.15 crores with around 160K tickets sold for the opening day. Mumbai, April 2 - Director Ali Abbas Zafar's highly-awaited action entertainer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, starring Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is all set to hit the big screens this Eid, indulging in a direct clash with Ajay Devgn-fronted Maidaan. ## The BMCM trailer was recently released which met with positive reception and has raised the anticipation for the movie. Now, according to the latest update, the movie has completed censor formalities. ## The big-budget entertainer has been censored with a U/A certificate by The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an approved runtime of 2 hours and 43 minutes on April 2nd. Interestingly, Ajay Devgn's Maidaan is also almost 3 hours long and has been censored with a UA certificate. ## BMCM is produced by Jackky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Himanshu Kishan Mehra, and Ali Abbas Zafar under the banners of Pooja Entertainment and AAZ Films. Shooting Details For Ajay Devgn-Fronted 'De De Pyaar De 2' and 'Son of Sardar 2' Revealed

Mumbai, April 2 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is one of the busiest actors in the country. He is currently basking on the success of Shaitaan, and at the same time, gearing up for the release of the long-awaited sports biopic Maidaan, scheduled for April 10.## Apart from the upcoming release, Ajay Devgn is in the process of spearheading his next films. The actor is currently shooting for Singham Again and Raid 2, both scheduled to release in theatres in the second half of 2024. ## Now, according to the report by Pinkvilla, AD is all set to start shooting for two much-awaited films, De De Pyaar De 2, and Son of Sardar 2, in June this year in London. "Ajay will wrap up shooting for Singham Again and Raid 2 by the end of May. He will be off to London in June to commence work on De De Pyaar De 2 followed by Son of Sardar 2", the reports state. ## De De Pyaar De 2, which will be directed by debutante Anushul Sharma, will have a 15-day schedule in London, and after calling a wrap on the first schedule of DDPD2, Ajay Devgn will move on to Son of Sardar 2. The director of SOS 2 is not revealed yet but it is said that an acclaimed director known for comedies in the Punjabi Film Industry has been roped in for the same. ## Ajay Devgn is currently working on 8 franchise films. Mumbai, April 2 - Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon finally scored a success in the form of romantic-comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. Directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the film was released during Valentine's Day week on February 9. ## The Maddock Films and Jio Studios' production wasn't loved by most critics but audiences showered praise towards the film that translated into a box office hit. TBMAUJ opened to decent numbers of approximately 6.70 crores net, followed by the opening weekend of 28+ crores net. ## The movie showed consistency during the weekdays and jumped on weekends to stay afloat and did enough to emerge a much-needed box office success for the lead actors. Mumbai, April 1 - Anil Kapoor-fronted Mr. India (1987) is one of the most iconic Bollywood films. Directed by Sekhar Kapoor, the movie also starred the late actors Amrish Puri, Sridevi, and Satish Kaushik among others and it went on to become a huge success. ## Over the years, Mr. India gained cult status and there have been frequent calls for its sequel. Mumbai, March 22 - Dharma Productions' action thriller Yodha couldn't put up much of a fight at the box office with a low first-week collection.
