'Stree 2' Sets Biggest Overseas Release For Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao

Mumbai, August 15 - Maddock Films' horror-comedy Stree 2 has stormed the box office by taking one of the biggest openings of all time at the Indian box office. The movie is looking to score over 50 crores net collection on the first day, including previews.

Apart from the monstrous start domestically, the Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted blockbuster is expected to emerge as the biggest overseas opener for the due. It has been released on over 1600 screens across 1250+ locations in 75+ countries.



This makes it the biggest overseas release for Shraddha and Rajkummar and the biggest overseas Indian release in the horror-comedy genre. The film is being distributed by Marudhar Entertainment Network internationally.

Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Stree 2 stars the original cast - Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee, with Tamannah Bhatia and a couple of surprise cameos.
