Box Office: 'Stree 2' Beats 'Chennai Express' To Score Biggest Bollywood Previews

Mumbai, August 14 - The box office juggernaut of Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's horror-comedy Stree 2 has begun as it beats superstar Shah Rukh Khan's action comedy Chennai Express to score the biggest previews for a Bollywood title.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 has scored an estimated 8.35 crores net on its Wednesday previews, with shows starting from 9:30 PM. With this, it has beaten SRK's Chennai Express which scored 6.75 crores net preview collection in 2013.



Stree 2, produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, has excellent pre-sales for the opening day and as per the projection, it is looking to score in the range of 40 crores net first day (excluding previews). It will easily be one of the biggest openings of all time.

It is the 5th movie in the Maddock Supernatural Universe and the sequel to 2018's blockbuster Stree. In the movie, set after the events of Stree, the small town of Chanderi is being haunted by a headless creature who is abducting women.
