In a view of the rise of the covid-19 cases, the Karnataka government has decided to take the necessary actions to control the situation and announced some stringent guidelines which came into effect yesterday. As per these new guidelines, only 50% of the seating capacity in movie theatres will be allowed, which has certainly come as a big shocker to the owners of movie theatres, producers, and actors.## On April 2nd, Puneeth Rajkumar starrer "Yuvarathnaa" was released and doing very well at the box office across all the theaters of Karnataka. However, with new guidelines for theaters, the viewership of Yuvarathnaa will surely get affected. Yesterday, Puneeth Rajkumar and director Santosh Ananddram, came live on Facebook and urged the state government to withdraw the 50% occupancy rule in theatres. ## Puneeth questioned the government as to why the stringent rules are just for movie theatres. "When we see, in election campaign meetings, people everywhere gathering, but we can't see any such rules there, why it is only for us?" the actor asked. ## Director Santosh said, "Without giving any hint, or information if such decisions are taken then where should the producers go? We have just released our film and it is really doing well. Now, what will happen to us?" He also made a point that "All the necessary precautions like wear face masks and sanitizing hands will be followed strictly". ## Yuvarathnaa did well and earned 10.05 crores gross on its opening day. The actors have been shooting for the film in Canada since the second half of February 2021. Superstar Rajinikanth To Be Conferred With Prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award

Superstar Rajinikanth will be honoured with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for the year 2019 for his contribution to the Indian cinema. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar took to Twitter and announce the news. ## "Happy to announce #Dadasaheb Phalke award for 2019 to one of the greatest actors in the history of Indian cinema Rajnikant Ji. His contribution as actor, producer, and screenwriter has been iconic", Mr. Javadekar, the Minister for Information and Broadcasting, wrote in his post.## The Dadasaheb Phalke Award for the year 2019 was supposed to announce last year but postponed due to the covid-19 pandemic. He made his debut in the 1975 Tamil film Apoorva Ragangal and delivered superhit films such as Billu, Muthu, Baashha, Sivaji, and Enthiran. Rajinikanth also starred in several Bollywood hits such as Hum and Chaalbaaz. His last few film releases were Petta (2019) and Darbar last year. Rajinikanth will next be seen in the Tamil movie Annaatthe which is scheduled to release on November 4, this year. ## The Dadasaheb Phalke is the highest honor in film and is awarded by the government for excellence in cinematic achievement. Marvel wouldn't have been the same without Spider-Man, of course, there are other characters that make Marvel look perfect, but Spider-Man holds a special place. With time, the Spider-Man character has been rebooted twice, folded into the MCU, and starred in an Oscar-winning animated movie which made a huge influence in multiple ways across Hollywood. ## However, it was Sam Raimi, whose earnestness of making the Spider-Man trilogy (2002, 2004, 2007) kept those movies head and shoulders above many of the other Marvel adaptations of the time and made him the favorite Spider-Man director. Taking part in a Reddit AMA on March 31, Raimi was asked "why" he made the movies to begin with, and his answer was just as touching as his take on Spider-Man.## "I directed the first Spider-Man film because I was such a huge fan of Stan Lee's brilliant character. Peter Parker and Spider-Man were an important part of my teenage years. I thought it was very moving how much he sacrificed for others. How hard he worked to protect innocent people. And all the while had to take care of his Aunt May and do his homework to boot. His self-sacrifice resonated with me. Before K.G.F. Chapter 2, Hombale Films has arrived with Sandlewood biggie, Yuvarathnaa starring Puneeth Rajkumar, and Sayyeshaa Saigal in the leading roles. The movie released on a grand scale in Kannada and Telugu languages on April 1st. It is an action drama film written and directed by Santhosh Ananddram. ## The release of Yuvarathnaa was postponed multiple times. It was originally slated to release on the Dusshera occasion, falling on 7 October 2019. But delay in post-production work and covid-19 pandemic forced makers to reschedule the release date from 8 May 2020 to April 1st, 2021. It is produced by Vijay Kiragandur while the music is composed by brilliant S. Thaman.
