Ajay Devgn Joins Hands With Siddharth Roy Kapur To Produce A Comedy-Drama Film 'Gobar'
Ajay Devgn has announced his next production and joins hands with the producer, Siddharth Roy Kapur for a comedy-drama film, titled "Gobar". The movie will be directed by the well-known ad filmmaker Sabal Shekhawat, who debuted with the acclaimed 2013 indie "Fireflies".## The movie is inspired by the true events set during the 1990s in North India. It follows the story of an animal-loving veterinary doctor who witnesses corrupt practices in a local state hospital and decides to stand up against it.## "The story of 'Gobar!' is at once unique, relatable, and incredibly funny, as well as gripping and entertaining to the point that I'm confident it will compel people to go to the theaters. We are very clear about the impact we want to make. We want viewers to laugh, relax, perhaps think a little bit, and be entertained", Ajay Devgn said according to Variety. ## Siddharth Roy Kapur further said, "Gobar is a story that chronicles the seemingly pointless but ultimately heroic journey of a simple citizen who deals with corruption in a way that will bring on many laughs, much adventure, and ultimately a simple message about the power of the common man. What makes the film entertaining and unique is that it is a situational comedy that sheds light on the inner workings of power".## Casting for the film is currently underway and it is expected to go on floors towards the end of the year.
