Hrithik Roshan To Star As Vedha In The Hindi Adaptation Of Tamil Movie 'Vikram Vedha'?

From the last couple of months, there have been speculations about Hrithik Roshan starring in the Hindi remake of 2017's Tamil movie, "Vikram Vedha". Since Hrithik is already in talks with filmmakers for multiple projects, it wasn't sure when will he begin this action thriller as he didn't give his nod back then. ## However, it is now reported that the actor has given his nod and locked this film as his next. According to a report in Pinkvilla, Hrithik will essay the role of a gangster 'Vedha' which was played by Vijay Sethupathi in the original Vikram Vedha while Saif Ali Khan is reportedly playing Vikram. The report also suggests that the director duo, Pushkar–Gayathri who helmed the original, will be returning to direct the Hindi remake too. ## While the title for the Hindi remake is yet to be locked, it has been said that the movie will go on floors this summer as pre-production work is going on at a rapid pace. "On the personal front, Hrithik is clearing his calendar and attending to brand and industry commitments. The actor has been swamped with a slew of meetings to knock off before he goes on sets of Vikram Vedha", a report in Pinkvilla said. ## Talking about the original Vikram Vedha, it was produced by S. Sashikanth under his banner Y NOT Studios. The movie starred R Madhavan, Vijay Sethupathi, Shraddha Srinath, Kathir, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in prominant roles. The film tells the story of Vikram (Madhavan), a police inspector who sets out to track down and kill Vedha (Sethupathi), a gangster. After Vedha voluntarily surrenders himself, he tells Vikram three stories that change his perceptions of good and evil.## Meanwhile, Hrithik has two confirmed films as Krrish 4 and Fighter. While Krrish 4 is still a long way to go, his Fighter with director Siddharth Anand will go on floors late this year and will be releasing on 30 September 2022. India's first trilingual movie of 2021, starring Rana Daggubati in the lead role was released on March 26. However, due to the rising covid-19 cases in Maharasthra, the Hindi version (Haathi Mere Saathi) postponed for a new date which is yet to be announced. The biopic of Indian ace badminton players, Saina Nehwal released on March 26 in theaters. The movie titled, Saina stars Parineeti Chopra as Saina Nehwal. Saina is directed by Amole Gupte while Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Rashesh Shah, and Sujay Jairaj have produced it under the banners of T-Series, and Front Foot Pictures. ## Saina was screened for media and industry people a day before its theatrical release. Thalaivi Trailer: Kangana Ranaut Brings Her 'A' Game In Jayalalitha's Biopic

The trailer of Kangana Ranaut starrer "Thalaivi", which showcased the life journey of Jayalalitha from her struggling acting days to become one of the most powerful female politicians India has ever witnessed, was launched on Kangana's 34th birthday on March 23 on Tuesday. ## Directed by AL Vijay, the film also stars Aravind Swami, Prakash Raj, Jisshu Sengupta, and Bhagyashree, among others. The trailer shows the will of a strong woman who reached the peak of the powers against all odds. ## The trailer shows how Jayalalithaa (essayed by Kangana) was being undermined by men who belong to the entertainment industry and the world of politics. They doubt if she has what it takes to be a politician since she was originally an actor by profession. However, some of the incidents that happened with her during the initial days of politics, made her stronger than ever. ## There are also some glimpses of romantic scenes with MGR (played by Arvind Swami). And when she decided to come to politics, the trailer also shows glimpses of Jayalalithaa campaigning and winning support across the state. Above all, we are also shown the powerful moments such as Jayalalitha taking, the then Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, head-on. ## A blockbuster is written all over the trailer in which Kangana shows her versatility as an actor. She has almost re-alive the character of Jayalalitha who served as chief minister of Tamil Nadu six times. ## Thalaivi is directed by A.L. Vijay and produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shaailesh R Singh and Co-produced by Hitesh Thakkar and Thirumal Reddy under the banners of Vibri Media, Karma Media And Entertainment, Gothic Entertainment, and Spirit Films. Tamil superstar Dhanush won big at the 67th National Film Awards, which were announced on Monday (March 22). The actor won his second National Award in the Best Actor category for Tamil movie, Asuran. He has jointly been announced the winner of Best Actor with verstile actor Manoj Bajpayee who won his 3rd National Award for Bhonsle. ## Asuran also announced the Best Film in Tamil in the 67th National Film Awards. The 67th National Film Awards were announced in New Delhi on Monday. The ceremony bestowed honors on the best films and top artists for the year 2019. The awards were initially scheduled to be held in May last year but were delayed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic.## Among the top honours, Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde starrer 2019's Telugu movie, Maharshi won the National Award for the 'Best Popular Film For Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
