Hyderabad, October 23 - "I am no God, but not one of you either" - these words from Radhe Shyam teaser perfectly suit Prabhas at this point of his career. The Darling actor was a star since his debut in 2002, but it was SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali", that made him a 'Pan-India' star, a term which has hardly been used for any other actor in Indian cinema. ##
Ever since Prabhas has tested the success with the Baahubali film series, he never looked back and now, he has become the most bankable actor in India with an ever-increasing fan base in every part of the country. His last released film and first since Baahubali 2, "Saaho" was although declared average at the box office, it grossed over Rs. 450 crores worldwide and was one of the highest-grossing Indian films worldwide in 2019. ##
Such has been the confidence of the producers that they are ready to invest millions in Prabhas' name and he has delivered every time. Going forward, the superstar will be in action in the next 3-4 years with approx Rs. 1500 crores riding on him with at least five films are currently in the various stage of production. ##
Here is a look into his stunning slate of upcoming Pan-India films - ##
1. Radhe Shyam - The Hindi-Telugu bilingual period romantic will be the first of Prabhas' upcoming films to hit screens. Slated to release on January 14, 2022, Radhe Shyam is touted to be a different kind of love story, set in Europe of the 1970s. Starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde as Vikramaditya and Parerna, Radhe Shyam is directed by Radha Krishna Kumar and produced by T-Series and UV Creations. It will also be released in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages worldwide. ##
2. Salaar - Written and directed by the KGF fame Prashanth Neel, Salaar is a Telugu-Kannada bilingual film that is currently under production. The dark action-thriller will see Prabhas playing the title role with Shruti Haasan playing the female lead and Jagapathi Babu as antagonist Rajamanaar. It is produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films [KGF] and is currently scheduled to release on April 14, 2022, in Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam. ##
3. Adipurush - One of the biggest if not the biggest film of Prabhas' career, Adipurush, is the feature film adaptation of Hindu epic "Ramayan", in which Prabhas plays the role of Lord Ram. The movie is currently on floors under the direction of Tanhaji fame Om Raut. Touted to be India's biggest film in terms of budget (approx. Rs. 500 crores), Adipurush also stars Kriti Sanon as Janaki/Sita, Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh/Ravan, and Sunny Singh in prominent roles. Produced by T-Series, and Retrophiles, Adipurush is being shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi languages and will be hitting worldwide screens on August 11, 2022, in multiple languages. ##
4. Project K (working title) - A sci-fi film, which is reportedly set in a futuristic timeline against the backdrop of the third world war, Project K is going to be a unique film in Prabhas' career. Director Nag Ashwin, best known for helming Keerthy Suresh's Mahanati, has come up with a stunning subject to surprise the audience. It also stars legendary Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone in prominent roles. Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, Project K is expected to begin regular shoot from December this year and it will take at least a year to make ready for release. ##
5. Spirit - Producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series recently announced his 4th collaboration with Prabhas for the later's landmark 25h film. The film, titled Spirit, might see Prabhas' playing a cop for the first time in his film career and it will be directed by Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. It will be the first Indian film to release in 7 Indian and foreign languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Japanese, Chinese & Korean. The shooting of the film is expected to begin in late 2022 or early 2023. ##
While the aforementioned projects have been confirmed to be headlined by Prabhas, there are rumours that the actor will also be teaming up with director Siddharth Anand for an action film. He is also rumoured to be in talks with Mythri Movie Makers for a film. ##
