Mumbai, May 2 - Marvel/Sony's "Spider-Man: No Way Home" was released in December 2021 and went on to become one of the biggest grosser of all time with a worldwide collection of $1.89 billion. The Tom Holland-fronted movie has been released in most parts of the world except in the biggest movie market in the world, China. ## During the covid-19 pandemic, it has been difficult for Hollywood to release its movies in China, especially Marvel movies. "Spider-Man: No Way Home" was supposed to release in China in January this year and things didn't work at that time. And now, the Chinese authorities have put one condition in front of makers in order to release "No Way Home" in China. ## According to reports, the Chinese authorities have asked Sony Pictures to remove The Statue of Liberty from "Spider-Man: No Way Home" if they wanted to release the film in China. This demand is something that will be very hard for Sony to accept as the entire climax action sequence in the movie takes place with a trio of Spider-Men swinging over and around Lady Liberty as they battle the supervillains. ## It needs to be noted that China has been a huge market for Spider-Man movies in the past. The previous two Spider-Man movies featuring Tom Holland had grossed $116 million and $200 million in China, respectively. Bengaluru, May 1 - Director Prashanth Neel's "KGF Chapter 2", starring Kannada cinema's biggest superstar Yash, has done an unthinkable and become the first Kannada movie of all time to reach 1000 crores worldwide gross. Forget about 1000 crores gross, KGF 2 is the first Kannada movie to cross 250 crores worldwide gross which it had achieved in just 3 days. ## It has been a box office journey to remember for the makers of KGF 2 who made it the costliest Kannada movie ever with a budget of 100 crores. It took just 18 days for KGF 2 to reach this magical box office figure. More importantly, it is only the 4th Indian movie to get there after "Baahubali 2", "Dangal", and the recently released "RRR". ## Of course, this sort of success of KGF 2 wasn't possible without the support from the other versions of the movie, and that's where the movie hit the jackpot. The Hindi version of the film has contributed more than 40% of the total worldwide gross with approx. 435 crores gross in India alone. ## Apart from Hindi, the other versions of the film (Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam) have scored approx. 414 crores at the domestic box office with a major contribution from the original Kannada version with approx. 140 crores gross. Superstar Salman Khan had himself said in December last year that he would be working on the sequel, however, the shooting and other details were not disclosed by him at that time. ## It was reported that the original lead trio of Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan would be reuniting for the movie along with director Anees Bazmee. Now, the director has himself confirmed the movie and said that the shooting for the same will be commenced soon. ## Anees told IndiaToday.in, "The shoot of the film is going to start very soon. I have met Salman Bhai four to five times and told him that we have to start this film soon now. He is very serious and we are going to start very soon. Salman Bhai is there, there's Fardeen [Khan] and Anil Kapoor. These three will be a part of the movie". ## "No Entry", which was released in 2005, was the highest-grossing film of the year. Produced by Boney Kapoor, the movie holds a special place in the comedy genre in the Hindi film industry. The demand for the sequel has been there for a long time and according to Boney Kapoor, the script is ready for the movie, which is titled "No Entry Mein Entry". ## "I have the script and now it is up to Salman if he wants to do it and when he wants to do it... The No Entry Mein Entry script that I have is better than the No Entry one. However, it hasn't been easy for Marvel to work on this highly anticipated sequel to 2016's movie as it went through a lot of delays and changes for various reasons. ## "Doctor Strange 2" might have been released a little earlier if it had not gone through reshoots late last year. At that time, it was unknown to everyone why Marvel was asking for the film's reshoots, however, director Sam Raimi recently revealed the main goals for the reshoots in an interview. ## "There's a lot of points where the audience says - I don't understand this. I don't understand this concept. Or, I'm aware of this concept, and then you explained it again in the third act, Oh, you're right, the audience knows that already. Or 'They had to know that in order to accept this next story beat. A lot of it is test screenings, learning what is confusing on a complex picture like this, or learning things that have overstayed their welcome", Raimi told Rolling Stone (via comic book).## "Recognizing when something is too slow, and even though it's a proper beat to put in, the audience doesn't need it. They can figure that out on their own, so what seemed like a logical step now becomes, in the editing process - Hmm. That's slowing us down. Let's skip it and let the audience make the leap themselves. But it's also about recognizing what they really like, and sometimes expanding those things that they're really reacting well to. However, the lukewarm response to "Runway 34", and "Heropanti 2" has confirmed that KGF Chapter 2 will have another solid weekend at the box office. ## The Yash-fronted period action drama film did not lose grip and scored a solid third Friday (16th day) at the Hindi box office with 4.25 crores net. This takes the movie past 350 crores net (353.06cr), which is the second-fastest ever in Hindi. SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali 2 The Conclusion" still remains the fastest to reach the milestone of 350 crores net, in just 12 days. ## Directed by Prashanth Neel, "KGF 2" is only the third film ever to cross 350 crores net in Hindi, and now, it is well and truly on to become only the second film to reach 400 crores, after "Baahuabli 2". The original movie chronicled the story of a family of four whose lives turned upside down following an unfortunate incident with their older daughter. ## Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the sequel will see Ajay Devgn reprising his role as Vijay Salgoankar. Tabu, who started filming for the movie earlier this week, will return as Meera Deshmukh, Inspector General of Police, Goa.
