Chennai, April 24 - Thalapathy Vijay's sports action drama Ghilli continues to impress at the box office since its re-release on April 20, Saturday. In the first two days, the movie grossed around 8.50 crores in India before taking the domestic collection past 10 crores with a strong hold on Monday. ## The movie minted around 1.75 crores in gross collection on its third day (Monday) which pushed the domestic collection to around 10.25 crores. The movie had another excellent hold on Tuesday with a minimal drop as it collected around 1.50-1.65 crores gross. ## The total India gross collection of Ghilli is around 11.75+ crores in 4 days which is already the highest for a recent South Indian re-release film. Worldwide, the movie has crossed 15 crores gross at around 15.50 crores which is excellent. ## The absence of notable new releases is making Ghilli the first choice of the audiences in the home market despite being 20 years 20-year-old film. Kochi, April 24 - Fahahd Faasil's action comedy film Aavesham has topped 100 crores at the worldwide box office, becoming the 7th Malayalam movie of all time and 4th of 2024 to achieve the feat.## Directed by Jithu Madhavan, Aavesham topped 100 crores gross worldwide on its 13th day or early 14th day (subject to overseas collection) emerging as one of the fastest Mollywood titles to reach the milestone. Mumbai, April 24 - Zack Snyder's epic space opera film Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver was the number one movie worldwide on Netflix's top 10 chart, but it failed to match the opening weekend numbers of its predecessor Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire which was released in December last year. ## Released on April 19, Rebel Moon 2 scored 44.2 million viewing hours from 21.4 million views in its first 3-day weekend. It generated 10.5% lower viewership than the first movie which scored 54.1 million viewing hours from 23.9 million views in its opening weekend.## Just like the first part, the sequel also opened to terrible critics' reviews while audience reception was also not encouraging which restricted it to below the first movie. The first movie managed to stay in Netflix's top 10 viewership chart for 5 weeks (including April 15 - April 21, 2024) during which it scored 78.4 million full views. ## The film takes place on the moon of Veldt where Kora and the crew of warriors venture to help the farmers to defend and fight for their home against the Motherworld. Kochi, April 21 - Prithviraj Sukumaran's survival thriller Aadujeevitham: The Goat Life is climbing to new heights at the worldwide box office despite slowing down with each passing day. ## After becoming the third highest-grossing Malayalam movie of all time, beating Pulimurugan, Aadujeevitham has now become only the third Mollywood title ever to reach the 150 crores mark at the global box office. ## Directed by Blessy, the film grossed over 151+ crores worldwide in 25 days and crossed the 150 crores gross mark. Mumbai, April 19 - Yami Gautam-fronted political thriller Article 370 has completed its box office journey with a worldwide collection of over 100 crores gross, turning out to be a bonafide success. ## Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, Article 370 was released on February 23 with favourable critics' reviews and audience word of mouth. It took a good opening of around 6 crores net, followed by the opening week of around 35.50 crores net. ## After the good first week, the movie showed a stronghold in the second week with a drop of just 37% for 22.30 crores net and it continued to show the same trend over the next few weeks despite the arrival of new films. Mumbai, April 19 - It was a super low turnaround at the box office on Eid 2024 as both tentpole films, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan, bombed without making much noise. ## Ajay Devgn-fronted sports biopic Maidaan received a positive reception from critics as well as from audiences, however, it was all doom and gloom at the box office for the movie.
