Box Office: 'Kalki 2898 AD' Tops 'Fighter' To Become Biggest Hindi Grosser Of 2024 Domestically

Mumbai, July 8 - Pan India superstar Prabhas once again proved his box office strength beyond the local Telugu market with his sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD which has become the highest-grossing film of 2024 in Hindi at the domestic box office.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the epic blockbuster has crossed Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone-fronted Fighter which minted approximately 212.80 crores net collection earlier this year. Kalki scored around 212.50 crores net through the second Sunday (11 days) and with the first show on the second Monday, it surpassed Fighter.



Kalki 2898 AD is the fourth South Indian film ever after Baahubali 2 (511 crores net approx.), KGF: Chapter 2 (435 crores net approx.), and RRR (272.75 crores net approx.), and the second for Prabhas after BB2 to cross 200 crores in the Hindi version.

Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, Kalki is also the only second movie of the year to top 200 crores net in Hindi as the third biggest Hindi grosser of 2024 is Ajay Devgn's horror-thriller Shaitaan which minted approximately 148.25 crores net upon its March release. Kalki 2898 AD will be eyeing a 300 crore net lifetime collection.

At the worldwide box office, the latest sensation has grossed an estimated 832 crores, including 607 crores in India and 225 crores overseas in 11 days. It will reach 900 crores gross by next weekend, and thereafter, it will depend on the legs and how far it goes.
