Pictures has its third $500 million grosser in just 5 months at the worldwide box office as Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire joins Dune Part 2 and Wonka in this elite club. ## The Adam Wingard's directorial MonsterVerse film, as of Sunday (April 28), grossed $519.3 million (4330 crores) at the worldwide box office, including $337.7 million (2815 crores) internationally and $181.7 million (1515) domestically (North America).## China has been the biggest overseas market for Godzilla x Kong with $125.90 million (1050 crores). India too has been in the top 5 box office market for the film with a gross collection of around 122 crores ($14.60 million), making it the highest-grossing film in the franchise in India.## Meanwhile, Warner Bros. Pictures' Dune 2 hit $700 million globally. Mumbai, April 27 - Warner Bros./Legendary Pictures' Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has topped 100 crores net collection at the Indian box office, becoming the first Hollywood movie of 2024 and the first ever in the MonsterVerse to achieve the feat. ## The Adam Wingard's directorial blockbuster has grossed over 120 crores (100+ crores net) at the Indian box office in 29 days. In its 4th week, the movie grossed around 8 crores, dropping around 38% despite the arrival of the new Indian releases. ## India has been one of the biggest overseas markets for Godzilla x Kong. The movie was released on March 29 and scored 69+ crores gross collection in the first week. It held strongly in the second with to gross of approximately 29.50 crores (-57.60%), followed by 13 crores (-56%) in the third week. ## The sequel has performed well in the Southern Indian states, especially in Tamil Nadu. Kochi, April 27 - After becoming only the third Malayalam movie to top 150 crores at the worldwide box office, Prithviraj Sukumaran's survival thriller Aadujeevitham - The Goat Life has now become the third film to cross 75 crores gross mark in Kerala state. ## Directed by Blessy, the blockbuster film has grossed approximately 75.50 crores in 30 days, making it the third movie ever to go past the 75 crores mark in Kerala. Tovino Thomas' 2018: Everyone is A Hero is the highest-grossing film in Kerala with approximately 89.50 crores, followed by Pulimurugan with 78.50 crores gross. SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 is the 4th best with around 73 crores gross in the state.## Aadujeevitham is likely to finish with the third position in Kerala while in India, it is currently the 4th highest-grossing Malayalam film with around 95.75 crores gross after Manjummel Boys (164 crores), 2018 (111 crores), and Pulimurugan (100 crores). ## At the worldwide box office, Aadujeevitham is again the third highest-grossing Mollywood title behind only Manjummel Boys (237+ crores) and 2018 (180 crores). Chennai, April 26 - Thalapathy Vijay's sports action drama Ghilli re-release box office collection has crossed 20 crores gross worldwide in 7 days after the excellent Wednesday in India and overseas. ## On Thursday, the blockbuster film scored an estimated 1.25-1.40 crores gross in India, pushing the total collection to over 14.50 crores in 6 days. Jio Cinema Offers Lowest Subscription Plan In India

Mumbai, April 25 - Amid the steady decline in the popularity of digital platforms and to challenge other platforms in India, Mukesh Ambani's JioCinema on April 25 announced a significant two-third reduction in prices for its premium services for Indian customers. ## According to Mint, JioCinema premium subscription will now be available for as low as Rs. 29 per month for a single device and Rs. 89 per month for four devices in India. Previously, the platform offered its premium service at ₹99/month or ₹999/annually for streaming on up to four devices simultaneously. ## The new monthly subscription plan of Jio Cinema is almost 10X lower than the second-lowest Amazon Prime Video and Sony Liv which offer the premium plan at Rs. 299/month.
