Mumbai, August 5 - Bollywood filmmaker Anand L Rai and supremely talented Pan India star Dhanush announced their third film together, "Tere Ishk Mein" on the tenth anniversary of their "Raanjhanaa" in June this year. The movie falls in the same universe as Raanjhanaa and this instantly grabbed the eyeballs of the audiences who are eagerly looking forward to it.## "Tere Ishk Mein" is touted to be an intense love story in which Dhanush will portray the character of an angry young man named Shekhar. AR Rahman is on board to score music. Now, according to Pinkvilla, the makers have finalized the shoot details of the movie with an aim to release it in theaters worldwide in mid-next year.## "Aanand and his team of writers (Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav) have nearly completed the writing, and they will initiate pre-production in October. They have finalized the shooting timeline and plan to film extensively in Uttar Pradesh around November. The film will be shot in a straight three-month schedule", the report says.## Before starting this Bollywood movie, Dhanush will complete his current projects in the South. The actor is currently shooting for his own directorial "D50", a gangster drama centered around three brothers played by Dhanush, SJ Suryah, and Vishnu Vishal. Mumbai, August 4 - After a good first week, Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani starts the second weekend on a strong note, scoring a jump over the first Thursday collection. The jump over yesterday's collection is at least 10% and can go upto 15% which is fantastic.## The early estimate suggests 6.75-7.25 crores net on the second Friday of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. This takes the total collection to around 80 crores and now, the movie has a real shot at crossing 100 crores net by the end of the second weekend itself.## The second Friday jump is more because the ticket prices have been increased to the opening weekend level after they were reduced during the weekdays. RRKPK will see further jump tomorrow and may hit the double-digit mark before another jump on Sunday. The second weekend is looking at least 27 crores net and can go towards 30 crores or more. ## RRKPK will cross 100 crores domestic gross tomorrow while it has crossed 150 crores gross worldwide with today's collection. Mumbai, August 4 - Karan Johar's directorial, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, has had an excellent first week at the global box office with collection nearing the 150 crores mark, thanks to phenomenal overseas first opening week.## The romantic family drama film, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, scored 146.50 crores gross worldwide, including 86.50 crores (73.33 crores net) at the domestic box office in the first week. The movie scored the 5th biggest first week of the year for a Bollywood movie. ## The overseas collection of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is fantastic with approx. $7.25 million (60 crores). After the superb opening weekend, RRKPK held extremely well during the weekdays despite the competition with Hollywood movies to post very good numbers.## North America is leading the film's overseas numbers with $2.90 million (24 crores), followed by Gulf countries with $2.10 million (17.40 crores), and the United Kingdom with $890K (7.40 crores). In Australia also, RRKPK has really well over the first week and grossed a solid $460K (3.80 crores). The other markets grossed an estimated $900K (7.50 crores).## RRKPK is expected to have a solid second weekend at the domestic as well as the global box office. In India, it will look to score at least 25 crores net which will take it near to 100 crores net mark. Overseas, the movie will be eyeing to reach the $10 million mark. It sees a drop of just around 10% today as compared to Wednesday's collection. ## The early estimate suggests the first Thursday collection of RRKPK around 6.25 crores net. This takes the total collection to around 73.50 crores net in the full week which is one of the biggest for a Bollywood movie this year. ## The second weekend will be crucial for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani which will determine how long it can go at the box office. Mumbai, August 2 - The Independence Day 2023 week is expected to be a big money spinner at the Indian box office with multiple tentpole movies lined up for release across different languages. There is Rajinikanth's much-awaited Tamil blockbuster "Jailer" as well as Chiranjeevi's Telugu movie "Bhola Shankar", and two of the highly-awaited Bollywood biggies, Akshay Kumar's "OMG 2" and Sunny Deol-fronted "Gadar 2". ## "Gadar 2: The Katha Continues", which is the sequel to the all-time blockbuster "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha" (2001) has been one of the most anticipated Bollywood movies ever since it was announced. As the release date is getting nearer, the anticipation for the movie is going up with each passing day, especially, after the teaser and trailer launch.## Directed by Anil Sharma, "Gadar 2" is expected to release on over 3500 screens nationwide and advances were opened nearly two weeks before the release. It is one of the very few movies post the covid-19 pandemic to open advances so early and it seems the decision to open early bookings is bearing fruit for the film. It has sold approx. 720K tickets worth approx. 17.60 crores gross collection as of 5 AM on August 11. In three national chains, the movie has sold approx. 285K tickets with PVR leading with 120K tickets for the opening day, which is excellent. ## Going by the pre-booking trend, "Gadar 2" looks like a big opener at the box office and is set to emerge as the second-biggest opening day grosser for an outright Bollywood movie of 2023. It is a complete mass entertainer with a patriotic theme that has a tendency to explode in advances in the last couple of days. With one day to go, the trend indicates an opening of around 35 crores net and might go towards 40 crores which remains to see. These are high-end projections that might change if word-of-mouth is not favorable. However, the movie is the sequel to an all-time blockbuster, which has generational fans who are expected to turn in, so the opening of 35 crores looks like a safe bet.## "Gadar 2" is set 20 years after the events of the first movie. It is set against the backdrop of the "Crush India" campaign in 1971 when Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) travels back to Pakistan on a personal mission to save his son Charanjeet "Jeete" Singh (Utkarsh Sharma) who is imprisoned and tortured by the Pakistan soldiers under Major General Hamid Iqbal. ## The movie is produced by Anil Sharma Productions in association with Zee Studios. The film stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma reprising their roles from the first film while it also features Simrat Kaur, Manish Wadhwa, Gaurav Chopra, and Luv Sinha in key roles.
