'Jawan' Crosses 'Gadar 2' To Score Second Biggest Opening Day Advance Booking of 2023 In Hindi; Next Target 'Pathaan'

Mumbai, September 4 - It's Shah Rukh Khan vs Shah Rukh Khan at the Bollywood box office 2023. The superstar's upcoming action thriller Jawan is continuing to score the impressive numbers in the pre-sales, and has crossed 20 crores collection in the advance booking for the opening day.

Directed by Atlee Kumar, "Jawan" has crossed Sunny Deol-fronted "Gadar 2" to score the second biggest opening day advance booking in Hindi in 2023. As of 8 PM on September 4, "Jawan" minted 18 crores gross advance collection in Hindi language, beating G2 which scored 17.60 crores advance booking gross for the opening day.



"Jawan" is now behind only Shah Rukh Khan's own movie "Pathaan" which scored approximately 31 crores pre-sales for the opening day. Pathaan is not only has the highest pre-sales for a 2023 movie but also is the number 1 Bollywood movie of all-time.

Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, "Jawan", with more than two days still left for the first show, will easily cross "Pathaan" opening day advance booking number to score the highest pre-sales in Hindi in 2023. The final pre-sales for the opening day is expected to be around 40 crores gross.

The movie is directed by Atlee Kumar and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. It tells the story of a person who sets out to rectify the wrongs in society with help from a group of women, and stars Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role, alongside Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, and Sanya Malhotra while Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt play special appearances. Sensational Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music for the film that is scheduled to release on September 7 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, languages.
