Movie continues to soar high at the box office and has crossed $500 million worldwide. ## The video game animated feature adaptation is a one-horse race at the moment at the domestic as well as the overseas box office. To date, the animated adventure has earned $260.3 million domestically (North America) and $248.4 million internationally, for a total worldwide cume of $508.7 million.## Co-directed by Aaron Horvath, and Michael Jelenic, Super Mario has now become the highest-grossing film of 2023, surpassing Marvel Studios' Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania's $475 million at the global box office in just 9 days. ## More importantly, "The Super Mario Bros. Los Angeles, April 13 - Marvel Studios' next blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy 3 hitting theaters in less than a month. The highly-anticipated flick marks the finale of filmmaker James Gunn's trilogy and it will be the last Marvel movie for Gunn who is now the co-head at DC Studio.## Ahead of the release, the early box office projection for the film has been revealed and there are not as big as fans would have thought. This might also be because the previous Marvel movies weren't up to the standard the studio has set over the years and has been the most successful in terms of box office earnings in the world.## According to Box Office Pro, GoTG3 is projected to take a $120 million - $155 million in its domestic (North America) opening weekend and the lifetime domestic gross is expected to finish between $288 million - $403 million. ## As of now, the movie is poised to open (if opens to a lower projection) below Guardians of the Galaxy 2 which took the opening of $146.5 million and finished its run at $389 million domestically. The first Guardians film banked $94.3 million domestically in its first weekend and $333.7 million by the end of its run. ## GoTG3 will be the second Marvel release in 2023 after Ant-Man 3 which opened to a solid $106 million over the three-day weekend but failed to build upon this opening and will finish below $220 million. The all-female-led superhero sequel to the blockbuster "Captain Marvel" will see uniting Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau, and also Carol Danvers' number 1 fan Kamala Khan on a cosmic adventure. ## Soon after the trailer was released online, Marvel unveiled the official synopsis of "The Marvels". It also confirmed the important connection to the MCU's first project from the Multiverse Saga in, WandaVision. The core plot revealed that Teyonah Parris' Monica Rambeau has now been promoted to astronaut following her Hex-focused mission with SWORD in WandaVision.## The synopsis reads, "In The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol's estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. It is all set to become the highest-grossing film in the franchise by crossing John Wick 3. ## The spy action thriller film grossed $307 million through 3rd Sunday, including $147 million at the domestic (North America) box office. It is currently the second-biggest film in the John Wick franchise domestically, behind John Wick 3 which scored $171 million in 2019. ## Internationally, the Chad Stahelski-directed flick has been performing better as compared to the domestic market. Through 3rd Sunday, it made $159 million over 71 markets, including India where it has grossed an estimated $7 million so far.## John Wick: Chapter 4's totals are set to receive a boost in the near future, as the film is yet to be released in the South Korean and Middle Eastern markets. The superhero flick will be the longest film in the franchise with reported runtime of around 2 hours and 29 minutes. ## Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is set to end the team's run in the MCU on a highly emotional note, giving fans the last story ever with this iteration of the intergalactic team of misfits. Despite having not much pre-release buzz and poor outcomes of the first three films in the franchise, John Wick: Chapter 4 has been able to attract Indian moviegoers in a big way. ## Directed by Chad Stahelski, the latest flick in this neo-noir action thriller series opened to a fantastic 8.75 crores net, including Thursday previews, in India for all languages. It was the biggest opening for the John Wick franchise as well as more than 50% of the total net collection of the first three films. ## With the help of a super solid audience WOM, "John Wick 4" sees a jump of more than 50% on Saturday for approx. 9 crores net, pushing total net collection to approx. 17.50 crores. After this, it has become the highest-grossing John Wick film in India, surpassing the combined net total of approx. 14 crores of the previous films in just two days. ## The first film in the franchise, released in 2014, was a washout in India, scoring just approx. 1 crore net lifetime collection, before "John Wick: Chapter 2" (2017) improved slightly to approx. 2 crore net. "John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum" (2019) was previously the biggest film in the series with approx. 11 crores net.
