Los Angeles, May 23 - The "Fast & Furious" movies are not going anywhere anytime soon despite the finale of the main franchise.## The 10th main installment of the franchise "Fast X" is playing in cinemas and the second part of it is scheduled to release in 2025. There might be a 12th film in the franchise but that is not confirmed yet but the Fast family will continue to entertain the audiences. ## Vin Diesel, the lead hero and one of the producers of the "Fast and Furious" franchise has confirmed that he already has plans for spinoffs, including a female-led film. "I started developing the female spinoff... in 2017 with other spinoffs, and the sooner I deliver the finale, the sooner I can launch all the spinoffs", Diesel told Variety reporter Marc Malkin. ## Vin Diesel earlier this month teased that "Fast X" might be spread out over three films. It was originally planned to end in two parts but since there are so many characters, Diesel said that "There was no way I can pull that off unless I had everyone on for five seconds. These characters are appealing and we need to see more of them". ## There are no confirmed details about which characters will get the spinoffs movies, but one of them might be Gal Gadot's Gisele Yashar who shockingly appeared in the mid-credit scene of "Fast X" along with Dwayne Johnson's Luke Hobbs.## The news of Johnson returning as Luke Hobbs in the "Fast X" was already revealed and Diesel admitted that it wasn't easy to keep the cameos secret but "I'm so excited to have them back home and even more excited to see fan reactions and to see how happy it makes people". ## Stay tuned...

Los Angeles, May 21 - The 10th main installment in the Universal Pictures' "Fast & Furious" franchise, Fast X has an excellent opening weekend at the worldwide box office. ## The high-octane action thriller scored $318.50 million (2640 crores) worldwide in its opening weekend, including $67 million at the domestic (North America) box office. Domestically, the movie opened slightly lower than the last movie "F9 - The Fast Saga" which grossed $70 million.## While the movie scored on the expected lines in North America, it surpassed expectations internationally by grossing $251.50 million over the 5-day weekend. China was the biggest market for the movie with $78.30 million over a 5-weekend weekend, including previews.## Meanwhile, the Louis Leterrier's directorial flick scored a fantastic 4-day opening weekend in India, grossing an estimated 71 crores ($8.6 million) or 60 crores net collection. This is the biggest opening for a Hollywood title in India this year, outgrossing Marvel's "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania". ## Overall, $319 million of "Fast X" is the second biggest worldwide opening of 2023, behind only "The Super Mario Bros. Los Angeles, May 20 - Universal Pictures' action thriller Fast X is all set to score above the initial box office projections at the worldwide box office. ## The Louis Leterrier's directorial latest installment in the "Fast and Furious" franchise shoot to $28 million Friday opening day, including $7.5 million Thursday previews, at the domestic box office. ## According to Variety, the movie is expected to gross another $22.40 million on Saturday and $16.80 million on Sunday for a $67 million opening weekend. This opening is around 4% lesser than "F9: The Fast Saga" which opened to $70 million in 2021.## Internationally, "Fast X" is estimated to earn over $250 million in its 5-day opening weekend for around $320 million worldwide launch. It will be the second-biggest worldwide opening of 2023, behind "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" which earned over $380 million in its opening weekend.## Meanwhile, the film is having a very good opening weekend in India and is projected to earn $8.40 million/70 crores in 4-days. It is the first solo movie for DC's iconic superhero characters on the big screen, which will bring Michael Keaton's Batman along with a few other key heroes and villains. ## DC has been all over for the last few years and finding it difficult to win over the hearts of the audiences. "The Flash" too has been in the hot water because of Ezra Miller's controversial past. So, there is a common question about whether the movie will succeed or will meet the same fate as the previous couple of DC movies. ## Directed by Andy Muschietti, "The Flash" involves a solid star power, and given the high cost, Warner Bros. will be hoping and praying for its success. The best thing that has happened with the movie so far is that it is carrying immensely positive talks as the people who have watched it are calling it one of the best superhero movies ever made, and one of them includes Tom Cruise.## The first box office projection for "The Flash", revealed by Box Office Pro is definitely painting a highly positive picture. The website estimated a domestic opening weekend of the movie somewhere between $115 million and $140 million with a domestic (North America) total projection of $280 million to $375 million.## Should "The Flash" open the high end of that mark, it would be the 4th biggest opening for a DC movie and the second biggest in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) of all time. During the press conference for "Jeanne du Barry" today at Cannes, Depp was asked about how he feels about Hollywood's boycott calls against him and Depp appeared to have mixed feelings about the same. ## "Did I feel boycotted by Hollywood? You'd have to not have a pulse to feel like, 'No. None of this is happening. It's a weird joke'", he said (according to Variety). Mumbai, May 17 - Hollywood films are having a good time at the Indian box office as recently released two low-profile films "John Wick: Chapter 4" and "Evil Dead Rise" emerged as surprise hits with the former went to scoring over 50 crores net collection.## Marvel Studios' "Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3" is also performing well and is nearing the 50 crores net mark. This momentum is expected to be continued as Universal Pictures' much-awaited Fast X, which is a bigger Hollywood IP than the aforementioned two films, is releasing next on this Thursday, May 18. ## The 10th installment of the "Fast & Furious" franchise is among the most-awaited Hollywood films, and keeping that in mind, the advance booking for the same was opened a month ago. As the release is getting nearer, the advance booking has started picking the pace and is already better than "GoTG3".## "Fast X" has sold approx. 170K advance tickets worth 4.50 crores gross for the opening day. The three national chains (PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis) have sold approx. 80K tickets and more than 50% of these tickets got booked in the last 48 hours. ## The movie has been able to clock good pre-sales which has ensured a good opening at the box office. "Fast And Furious 9: The Fast Saga", which was released during the peak of covid-19, took the opening of just 1.90 crores and went on to score around 14 crores in lifetime collection in India. ## "Fast X", which is releasing in a much better time, will look to open with a double-digit mark. As per reports, the movie would be released on around 2500 screens in India, so the double-digit opening is very much on the table, and if it gets favorable word of mouth, then it is sure to have a very good lifetime collection. Diesel, however, requested Johnson to put the issues aside and come back to the series, in an Instagram post in November 2021.## In another surprising news, there could be the 12th film in the franchise after Vin Diesel said that Universal Pictures has asked if "Fast X" could be turned into a trilogy. The movie doesn't seem to be having a long life at the box office after poor critics and audience scores. ## The remake of the 2016 German film "SMS für Dich", "Love Again" earned a poor "B" CinemaScore and holds 19% on Rotten Tomatoes from 21 critics though the audience score on RT is on the higher side at 93% from 100+ users.## "Love Again" was projected to score $5 million - $10 million in its opening weekend but it failed to top even the lower point of projections. Luckily for Sony Pictures, the movie only cost $9 million to produce. It also stars Sam Heughan and Nick Jonas, among others in key roles. ## The movie is about a lady, Mira Ray (Priyanka), who is struggling to cope with the death of her fiancé. She unintentionally sends a sequence of romantic messages to his old cell phone number, which has been reassigned to Rob Burns' new work phone. As a journalist, Rob is drawn to the candidness in Mira's beautifully written texts. Los Angeles, May 20 - Lionsgate Films' action thriller franchise John Wick has crossed the $1 billion mark at the global box office through the 4 films released so far in the series. ## John Wick is one of the most profitable action film franchises of all time. The combined budget of the 4 films in the series is around $230 million while the total gross collection now stands at $1.01 billion, including $425 million for the 4th installment. ## The first film in the series, "John Wick" was released in 2014 and grossed $87.08 million at the global box office against a budget of around $20 million. The domestic and overseas grosses of the film were almost similar at $43 million and $44.08 million, respectively. ## The sequel to "John Wick" debuted in 2017 and cost around $40 million to bring to the big screen. The movie topped the grosses of the first film by more than double margin and scored $171.50 million worldwide, including $92 million domestically and $79.50 million overseas. ## The trade of topping the collection of its predecessor continued with "John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum" (2019) which breached the $200 million as well as $300 million mark for the franchise globally. Against the budget of $70 million, the movie scored $326.70 million, including $171 million domestically and $155.70 million overseas. ## The 4th and latest in the franchise, "John Wick - Chapter 4" was released in March this year and still playing in a handful of cinemas with a worldwide total currently standing at $425.30 million. Domestically, it is the highest-grossing film in the series with $184 million while it is also the biggest overseas as well with $241.30 million.
