Marvel Studios 'Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3' Jumps Past $500 Million Worldwide

Los Angeles, May 14 - Marvel Studios' latest superhero blockbuster Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3 has jumped past $500 million at the worldwide box office after the remarkable second-weekend hold domestically (North America) as well as internationally.
James Gunn's directed flick has crossed the lifetime total of Marvel's last film "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" ($475.50 million) in just 10 days after pushing total global cume to $531 million, including $214.70 million at the domestic box office.
In its second weekend, GoTG3 scored the second biggest hold in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), after "Black Panther" (44.70%), and the best comic book movie hold post the covid-19 pandemic after dropping just 47.10% for $62.60 million.
Internationally, the final film in Gunn's Guardians trilogy added another solid $92 million for a $316.20 million total overseas collection. The third installment is expected to become the highest-grossing film in the trilogy as Hollywood Trade is expecting it to finish over $900 million worldwide.
The top overseas markets of GoTG3 through the second Sunday are as follows - China ($58.2M), the UK ($29.6M), Mexico ($24.7M), Korea ($21.7M), France ($18.3M), Germany ($13.4M), Australia ($13.1M), Brazil ($12.4M), Italy ($8.8M), and Indonesia ($7.80M). In India, the film has grossed $6.70 million in 10 days which is a decent collection.
