This makes it the joint lowest-budgeted Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie of all time, tied with 2015's "Ant-Man". "The Marvels" also cost $60 million less compared to its predecessor which budgeted at $190 million. ## The upcoming superstar movie is the first movie in the MCU's Phase 5 to cost less than $200 million. This makes "Elemental" the most-watched movie premiere of the year on the streamer and among the top 10 movie premieres Disney has ever had. ## Disney defines a view as total stream time divided by runtime, which means "Elemental" scored approximately 2.87 billion viewing minutes in its first five days of availability on Disney+. It has also become the most-viewed animated movie premiere since Disney and Pixar's "Turning Red" was released in March 2022.## Earlier, "Elemental" witnessed a box office rebound after the low opening at the domestic (North America) as well as the worldwide box office. The movie grossed $903 million (7505 crores) through Friday and is estimated to reach $912 million (7580 crores) 9th Sunday, according to Deadline. ## "Oppenheimer", with $912 million by Sunday, will officially become the highest-grossing biopic of all time at the worldwide box office. Based on the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the American theoretical physicist credited with being the "father of the atomic bomb", it will cross "Bohemian Rhapsody" (2018) which focuses on the life of Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of the British rock band Queen.## "Bohemian Rhapsody" grossed $910.8 million, including $216.6 million domestically (North America) and $694.2 million at the overseas box office, as per Box Office Mojo. "Oppenheimer" is expected to gross $10 million from 83 overseas markets on its 9th weekend, which will take its total international cume to $593 million while its domestic total will reach $319 million.## "Oppenheimer" is the third highest-grossing film ever and the highest-grossing outside Batman movies for Christopher Nolan. Pictures is left with no choice but to postpone the release of its highly-anticipated sci-fi epic "Dune: Part 2" to next year from its original November 3, 2023, date.## Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the sequel, which will continue the story of Paul Atreides, played by Timothée Chalamet, will now be hitting big screens on March 15, 2024. It was revealed last month that the studio is planning to shift the release date of "Dune 2" if strikes continue and now, the official announcement has been made regarding the same.## As part of the shift, "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire", which was slated for March 14, 2024, has now been pushed back one month to April 12, 2024. The movie, however, dethroned Margot Robbie's mega-blockbuster " Barbie" to claim the number 1 spot during the weekend of August 18-20.## "Blue Beetle" scored $25.4 million in its opening weekend, which is the second lowest opening in the modern DC era, ahead of just "Wonder Woman 1984" ($16.7 million) which had a debacle day and date release on HBO Max during the peak of covid-19 pandemic in December 2020.## Directed by Ángel Manuel Soto, "Blue Beetle" was expected to project to score $30 million which would have still made it the lowest DC starter in 2023, behind "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" which grossed $30.1 million earlier this year.## At the international box office, "Blue Beetle" starring Xolo Maridueña as the alien symbiote, added $18 million from 63 markets. With $43 million globally, it's one of the softest starts in the history of the DC Cinematic Universe. Mumbai, August 14 - Christopher Nolan's highest-grossing movie in India, "Oppenheimer" has a good third weekend at the Indian box office despite facing competition with a few of the Indian movies that are running riot. ## The Cillian Murphy-led atom bomb movie clocked approx. 6.50 crores in the fourth weekend, pushing the total gross collection to approx. 147 crores. It will finish over 150 crores gross thus emerging superhit at the Indian box office. It is also the highest-grossing Hollywood movie in India this year.## The biggest advantage "Oppenheimer" is having the IMAX screens on which it is performing exceptionally well. In its 4th weekend in India, the IMAX gross collection of the movie is approx. 3.50 crores while the total gross so far in this format is over 30 crores which is about 20% of the total collection.## "Oppenheimer" has so far grossed approx. $650 million (5390 crores) at the global box office through 4th Sunday. At the domestic (North America) box office, it has minted $264.5 million (2195 crores) while the international collection is approx. $385 million (3190 crores). India is the fifth biggest international market for the movie. ## Meanwhile, Margot Robbie-led "Barbie" scored approx. 1 crore gross in its 4th weekend, taking total gross collection to approx. 52.70 crores.
