Marvel Studios 'Avengers: Secret Wars' Rumoured To Have Massive Runtime; To Be Split Into Two Parts

Los Angeles, December 22 - Marvel Studios' Avengers: Secret Wars is shaping up to be a two-part film owing to its massive runtime, according to a new insider report by Jeff Sneider (TheInSneider). The movie, however, is still in the scripting stage and is not going to start filming anytime soon. ## Avengers: Secret Wars will be the end of Marvel's multiverse saga, and the reports suggest it will be a 5-hour movie with a year-long intermission and the plans are already there to split it into two parts This suggests that its current slated date of May 7, 2027, will be quickly followed by "Avengers: Secret Wars" (Part 2) in 2028. ## Before Secret Wars, there is "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty" which is now reportedly referred to as Avengers 5 after actor Jonathan Majors who played Kang dropped from the MCU. It is slated to release on May 1, 2026. There is a possibility that Marvel might drop "Avengers 5", but that's just a rumour for now as nothing has been confirmed yet by reliable reports. ## Marvel has been having trouble lately and now, one of the biggest factors currently affecting the studio is the recasting of Jonathan Majors, who played the important MCU antagonist Kang the Conqueror. This may further affect upcoming Avengers movies if the solution is now found soon. ## Meanwhile, the next Marvel movie is "Deadpool 3" starring Ryan Reynolds as the titular hero along with Hugh Jackman as James "Logan" Howlett / Wolverine. The movie is currently under production and is scheduled to release on July 26, 2024. ## Stay tuned...

Box Office: 'The Marvels' Scored A Low First Weekend In India and Worldwide

Mumbai, November 13 - Marvel Studios' latest superhero movie The Marvels has a low weekend at the Indian box office which is a shocker. Marvel movies have historically done well in India but the same is not the case with the latest flick which even failed to beat the pandemic hit "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings". ## The sequel to the highest-grossing female-led superhero movie "Captain Marvel" scored just approximately 6.40 crores net collection in all versions in India in the first 3 days. "Shang-Chi", which previously had the lowest opening weekend for an MCU title since the multiverse saga in India, scored approx. 10.60 crores net. ## "The Marvels" took the opening of 2.50 crores net which is again the lowest since the introduction of the multiverse saga. The trends didn't improve on the second day (Saturday) as it remained flat and dropped on Sunday after the arrival of Salman Khan's "Tiger 3" to dismiss its chances of having some sort of outcome. ## The Brie Larson-led film was the least hyped Marvel Cinematic Universe title in a long time which pretty much sealed its fate at the box office as it couldn't rise above the low expectations in India. ## It was not only India where "The Marvels" massively underperformed, the situation was pretty much the same all over the world as it failed to beat the pessimist box office projection to gross just $110 million (920 crores) worldwide over a 5-day weekend. At the domestic (North America) box office, the sequel grossed just $47 million (390 crores) over the 3-day weekend. ## "The Marvels" has a production budget of approx. $275 million and with not-so-good word of mouth, it might not be able to cross the budget to end up being one of the biggest box office bombs in the MCU. ## Stay tuned...

Box Office: Thalapathy Vijay's Blockbuster 'Leo' Hits 600 Crores Worldwide In 25 Days

Chennai, November 13 - Thalapathy Vijay's mega-blockbuster Leo has become the third Tamil movie of all-time to top 600 crores at the worldwide box office, after superstar Rajinikanth-led blockbusters "2.0" and "Jailer". ## The action thriller, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is slowing down at the box office but has done its job in the first three weeks. It has completed 25 days in theatres with a worldwide gross collection of approx. 600 crores, a first for Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj. ## "Leo" is the second Tamil movie of the year to breach this box office mark after "Jailer". The 600+ crores worldwide gross includes approx. 203 crores overseas collection (studio estimates) while the domestic collection is a little over 397 crores. The movie should be able to top 400 crores in domestic gross in the next few days. ## Produced by Seven Screen Studio, "Leo" will be looking to cross "Jailer" (604.50 crores) to become the second highest-grossing Tamil movie of all time. It will also surpass "PS-1" by today or tomorrow to become the highest-grossing film ever in Tamil Nadu state and a new industry hit in the state. ## "Leo" has had a good run in the Hindi language, in which it is one of the highest-grossing Tamil movies. The movie has scored approx. 31.30 crores gross in 25 days and it will be finishing around 31.50 crores final gross. The movie could have added another 2-3 crores gross but has been reduced to a fewer number of screens after the arrival of Salman Khan's "Tiger 3". ## It is the third instalment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) and is inspired by A History of Violence (2005), an adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name. The film follows Parthi, a café owner and animal rescuer in Theog, who is pursued by gangsters Antony and Harold Das who suspect him to be Antony's estranged son, Leo.## The movie stars Thalapathy Vijay in the titular role, alongside Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Trisha Krishnan, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Madonna Sebastian, George Maryan, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, and Mathew Thomas in key roles. ## Stay tuned...

In the film, Danvers, Rambeau, and Khan team up after they begin swapping places with each other every time they use their powers. ## Stay tuned...

Marvel Studios 'The Marvels' Early Box Office Projections Revealed

Los Angeles, October 13 - Marvel Studios' highly anticipated film The Marvels, starring Brie Larson, is tracking a lower-than-expected opening at the domestic (North America) box office. The movie is a sequel to 2019's "Captain Marvel" which was a massive box-office blockbuster.## Directed by Nia DaCosta, "The Marvels" is the third film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's (MCU) Phase 5, and the first since "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" in May 2023. Being a sequel to a highly successful blockbuster, the upcoming movie carries big expectations as far as the box office is concerned but the early projections are indicating otherwise.## According to Box Office Pro, the superhero sequel is tracking to earn $50 million - $75 million in the domestic (North America) opening weekend, which is less than half of $153.4 million opening of 2019's "Captain Marvel". The pre-sales of the movie are legging much behind "GoTG3" and "Ant-Man 3" which opened over $100 million each. ## MCU has been experiencing lacklustre box office response of late. It is still early, but if the lower-end box office projections of "The Marvels" don't improve then it will be a major setback for the movie, given the fact that its predecessor grossed over $1 billion at the global box office. ## "The Marvels" is a continuation of the television miniseries "Ms. Marvel" (2022), and the 33rd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, alongside Zawe Ashton, Park Seo-joon, and Samuel L. Jackson.## In the film, Danvers, Rambeau, and Kamala team up after they begin swapping places with each other every time they use their powers. The movie is scheduled to release on November 10, 2023. ## Stay tuned...
