Gadar 2 Becomes The First Bollywood Movie To Score 6 Consecutive 30+ Crores India Net Days

Mumbai, August 16: Gadar 2 is creating history with each passing day at the box office. The period action drama movie has shattered some of the initial records and is now eyeing the ultimate record of the biggest Bollywood grosser of all time.## Meanwhile, the Sunny Deol-led movie has become the first-ever Bollywood movie to score 30+ crores for 6 consecutive days. Salman Khan-fronted "Sultan" was the first Bollywood movie ever to do these numbers for five straight days.## Gadar 2 scored 40.10 crores on the first day, followed by 43.08 crores on the second day, 51.70 crores on the third day, 38.70 crores on the fourth day, and 55.4 crores on the fifth day. Now, on its sixth day, it scored 32.37 crores in India's net which makes it the first Bollywood movie ever to do so.## Earlier, there were only two movies to score 30 crores plus net collection for consecutive 5 days. Apart from "Sultan", Shah Rukh Khan's all-time blockbuster "Pathaan" also collected 30+ crores for five straight days. Box Office: Gadar 2 First Wednesday Early Estimates; Mayhem Continues

Mumbai, August 16 - Gadar 2 mayhem continues at the box office after the historic 5-day Independence Day weekend domestically. On its first Wednesday/sixth day, Gadar 2 scores an estimated 34-35 crores net which is simply outstanding and unbelievable to describe. The sort of occupancy the film is running with has never been seen for ages and we have to go back to 2001 to see similar occupancies when Gadar: Ek Prem Katha broke all records and before that, it was Hum Aapke Hain Koun in 1994. YRF Unveils First Look Poster And Release Date of Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar's 'The Great Indian Family'

Mumbai, August 14 - Yash Raj Films' long-awaited comedy-drama film "The Great Indian Family", starring Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar in the leading roles finally has a release date in theaters. ## Directed by "Thugs of Hindostan" fame Vijay Krishna Acharya, "The Great Indian Family" has been in production since 2021, but it was delayed due to the covid-19 pandemic as well as some other reasons.## Now, the movie has been confirmed to hit cinemas worldwide on September 22, 2023, two weeks after Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan", and a week before Prabhas-fronted "Salaar". Mumbai, August 14 - The Producers Guild of India and Multiplex Association of India have jointly issued a statement on the historic box office weekend of August 11 to August 13 in India which show collections topping 400 crores gross.## The statement read the August 11-13 weekend proved to be the all-time biggest single weekend in the 100+ years of Indian cinema history in terms of gross box office collection. The same weekend also drew 2.10+ crores in admissions in theaters, which is also the highest combined footfalls in the last 10-year history. ## Shibasish Sarkar, president of GUILD, said in the statement, "Mainstream storytelling executed in the right way has resulted in the box office records being shattered. The turnout at theaters has infused a new energy in our industry, audiences are responding in numbers we have not seen for a long time".## Kamal Gianchandani, president of MAI, added, "It was a historic weekend which proves once again that India loves going to cinemas to see great movies.
