Gadar 2 Scores Excellent Advance Booking For Independence Day; Set For Its Biggest Day At The Box Office

Mumbai, August 14 - Director Anil Sharma's period action drama film "Gadar 2: The Katha Continues" has become a movement as audiences are thronging to cinemas in hoards to experience the ultimate big-screen magic.

Needless to say, the Sunny Deol-led movie is breaking records with each passing day at the box office and it crossed 200 crores gross domestically in just 4 days. The mega-blockbuster sequel is now gearing up for its biggest day at the box office tomorrow, which happens to be Independence Day.



The advance booking collection of the movie for Independence Day is truly sensational as it has already crossed 30 crores gross with 1.2 million tickets sold. It is one of the highest single-day advance booking collections ever for a Bollywood movie and that too with fewer screens as compared to films that had higher advances in the past.

"Gadar 2" will be targeting at least 55 crores net collection on August 15 which will be an all-time box office record for an Indian movie on this particular holiday. The Independence Day collection of the movie will take the total 5-day cume to around 230 crores net.

The movie will also most likely cross 300 crores gross worldwide by tomorrow and will become only the third outright Bollywood film of the year to do so. All in all, "Gadar 2" has emerged as a bonafide mass blockbuster, something, the Bollywood cinema hasn't seen before in many many years.
