Akshay Kumar Blocks Biggest Box Office Release Dates In 2024 For Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Housefull 5, and Welcome 3

Mumbai, August 16 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar makes a strong comeback with the social comedy-drama film "OMG 2" which is inching towards 100 crores net mark. The actor will have one more release this year in the form of "The Great Indian Rescue" which is slated for October 5.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is gearing up for a huge 2024 year in terms of box office prospects with multiple releases. The actor has locked the biggest release dates for three of his most-awaited movies in 2024 and those movies are expected to emerge as huge box-office hits.



On Eid 2024, the "Sooryavanshi" star will release the highly-anticipated mass entertainer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the movie also has Tiger Shroff in the parrel lead along with Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manushi Chhillar, Sonakshi Sinha, and Alaya F. The shoot of the movie has already been completed and it is currently in the post-production work.

The fifth installment of producer Sajid Nadiadwala's blockbuster comedy franchise "Housefull" is locked to release on Diwali next year. Akshay Kumar will be returning along with Riteish Deshmukh in Housefull 5 which will be directed by Tarun Mansukhani of "Dostana" fame. The shoot for the movie is scheduled to commence in December this year.

Now, producer Firoz Nadiadwala has locked Christmas weekend 2024 for Welcome 3 which will mark Akshay Kumar's comeback in the franchise after missing out on the second installment. It will be directed by Ahmad Khan and is expected to commence filming early next year.

Apart from the aforementioned three festival releases, Akshay Kumar will also release the "Soorarai Pottru" remake in February and might also release C. Sankaran Nair's biopic and Maddock Films' action thriller "Sky Force" sometimes next year.
