'Salaar: Ceasefire' Re-Release Pre-Sales Cross 1+ Crore For The Opening Day

Hyderabad, March 18 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire is set for a big start upon its re-release on March 21. The movie was originally released in December 2023 and grossed over 600 crores at the worldwide box office. ## The advance booking for the re-release of the movie was opened on March 13 and it is seeing easily the best response for any re-release title in India. In the 5 days so far, the movie has sold 55K+ tickets on Book My Show for all days. For the opening day alone, it has sold tickets worth 1+ crore which is fantastic. ## The response in the pre-sales has been excellent so far and with 3 days left for the re-release, Salaar is expected to emerge as the biggest re-release opener at the Indian box office. ## Salaar: Ceasefire though was a box office hit, it performed underwhelming given the high expectations in its original run. The movie, however, reached a wider audience due to digital media, especially on Disney+Hotstar which increased its popularity and the response to its re-release can be attributed to that. ## The film is directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Hombale Films. 'Pushpa 3 - The Rampage' To Release In 2028

Hyderabad, March 16 - The third instalment of superstar Allu Arjun's Pushpa will be hitting cinemas worldwide in 2028, the makers confirmed on Sunday. The second part, Pushpa 2 - The Rule, which was released in December last year, emerged as one of the biggest Indian blockbusters at the worldwide box office with a gross collection of nearly 1750 crores. ## During the media interaction, producer Ravi Shankar confirmed that the third instalment, which is titled Pushpa 3 - The Rampage, will come out sometime in 2028. The filmmaker also revealed that Allu Arjun will next be doing director Atlee, followed by Trivikram's film and both will be completed in the next 2 years. ## Meanwhile, Pushpa director Sukumar will be directing superstar Ram Charan in his next before starting work on Pushpa 3, as confirmed by producer Ravi Shankar. The Bollywood veteran played the role of an immortal warrior Ashwatthama and his character will have a bigger impact in Kalki 2. ## There have been many reports regarding the shooting timeline of the Kalki 2898 AD sequel and according to the latest report by Mid-Day, Big B is set to start filming for the movie in May this year. Strong Start In Pre-Sales For Prabhas' 'Salaar: Ceasefire' Re-Release

Hyderabad, March 14 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire is all set to re-release on the big screen on March 21. The movie, directed by Prashanth Neel, was originally released in December 2023 and emerged as a box office hit with over 600 crores gross collection worldwide.## Salaar has been trending on Disney Plus Hotstar for more than a year now as the movie is slowly becoming popular nationwide. Cashing on this opportunity, the makers decided to re-release it across the country and the decision is proving right as it's off to a strong start in the pre-sales. ## Eight days ahead of the re-release, the bookings for the film opened and on its first day, it sold over 25K tickets on the first day. Prabhas' Film With Prashant Varma Confirmed

Hyderabad, February 25 - Over the last few months, there have been reports of Pan India superstar Prabhas teaming up with Hanuman director Prasanth Varma for a big-budget film. The filmmaker also teased the collaboration in a recent interview without naming the actor. ## Now, the latest development is that the project in question has officially been confirmed. Tamil Star Suriya Returns To Telugu Cinema To Headline Venky Atluri's Next

Hyderabad, February 16 - Tamil star Suriya is set to make his return to Tollywood after 15 years to headline a straight Telugu movie. The actor did Ram Gopal Varma's political action thriller Rakta Charitra 2 (2010) which was a Telugu and Hindi bilingual movie. ## According to the latest Telugu media reports, the Singam star will team up with director Venky Atluri to do a direct Telugu movie which will be produced by Naga Vamsi under the banner of Sithara Entertainment. The shoot for the same is expected to commence in May this year. ## While the exact details of the project are not known yet, it is said that the upcoming film will be a heist thriller. The technical crew which worked for Atluri's last movie, Dulquer Salmaan-fronted Lucky Baskhar is likely to reunite for this Suriya film. Bhagyashri Borse is reportedly playing the female lead while GV Prakash Kumar will score the music.## Suriya is currently shooting for RJ Balaji's Tamil movie and he will jump to Atluri's next immediately after wrapping it up. There are reports that the actor may do one more Telugu movie which is likely to be produced by Geetha Arts. ## The actor, meanwhile, will next be seen in director Karthik Subbaraj's much-awaited romantic action movie Retro which is scheduled to be released on May 1 this year. Box Office: 'Vidaamuyarchi' And 'Thandel' First Sunday Early Estimates

Chennai, February 9 - Ajith Kumar's action thriller Vidaamuyarchi has had a good first weekend at the domestic box office, however, it failed to keep up the momentum after the big opening due to mixed word of mouth and remake factor. ## On its first Sunday (4th day), the movie scored more or less the same as on Saturday as early estimates suggest the collection to be around 15 crores gross, including around 13 crores gross in the home state, Tamil Nadu. The total 4-day weekend collection is around 72+ crores domestically, including 61+ crores in Tamil Nadu, as per estimates. ## The pre-sales of the movie for Monday are pretty average which was expected given the reception from audiences. It needs to be seen how strong the walk-ins will be as the film needs to have a good hold during the weekdays to have long and emerge a success.## Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya's Telugu romantic action drama Thandel has a fantastic and easily the biggest opening weekend for the actor. As per the estimates, the film has scored a decent jump on Sunday, especially in Telugu states which is not a regular case with Telugu titles. ## According to estimates, Thandel is expected to score around 14-15 crores gross collection domestically, including 12-13 crores gross in Telugu states. With this, the total domestic opening weekend of the movie is around 42 crores gross which is superb. ## The word of mouth for the movie is on the positive side which should lead to good hold during the weekdays. Box Office: 'Thandel', And 'Badass Ravikumar' Second Day Early Estimates

Hyderabad, February 8 - Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi's romantic action drama Thandel is proving to be a success story at the box office. The movie is creating a stir and living up to the pre-release hype with an excellent collection all over. ## Thandel delivered the career-best opening for Naga Chaitanya and on its second day, the movie has an excellent hold with a drop of just around 10% which is normal for a Telugu title. According to early estimates, the Chandoo Modenti's directorial earns in the range of 12-13 crores gross on Saturday. ## The fantastic second-day hold pushes the total collection of Thandel to 25+ crores gross domestically and the 3-day opening weekend can rise to 37-38+ crores gross which is a fantastic collection. The word of mouth is okay and the film is likely to do well during the weekdays which remains to be seen. ## Meanwhile, Himesh Reshmiyan's action comedy Badass Ravikumar is witnessing a drop on the second day after a good first-day collection of over 2.50 crores net. Naga Chaitanya's 'Thandel' Worldwide Theatrical Business Details

Hyderabad, February 5 - After a back-to-back couple of box office failures, Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya's romantic action thriller Thandel is gearing up to hit the big screens on February 7 amid high expectations. The movie has created a good buzz and is set for a better start this weekend. ## Thandel reunites Naga Chaitanya with actress Sai Pallavi after the superhit Love Story (2021), which was the only solo hit for the former post the Covid-19 pandemic. The movie is directed by Chandu Mondeti, whose last directorial, Karthikeya 2, was a huge blockbuster at the box office. ## Despite poor recent records for Chaitanya, Thandel has managed to fetch career-best pre-release theatrical business for the actor.
