AA22xA6: Deepika Padukone Officially Joins Allu Arjun In Director Atlee's Next

Hyderabad, June 6 - Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has officially confirmed to be on board director Atlee's next. The actress joins superstar Allu Arjun in this ambitious sci-fi actioner, to be produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures.

The announcement was made on Saturday with a special video featuring behind-the-scenes footage. In the video, director Atlee is discussing the script with Deepika, followed by a look test of the actress in a studio. It shows Deepika riding a horse with a sword in her hand.



The video is almost identical in style to the one released for Allu Arjun when the film was announced in April this year. Both the announcement videos show the ambitious plans Atlee has for the movie, and this will escalate the buzz further.



Tentatively titled AA22xA6, the film marks Deepika's second film with Atlee after the mega blockbuster Jawan, in which the actress played an extended role. The details about the actress's role are not revealed yet, but going by the announcement, it looks like she will be seen doing action in the movie.

The film is reportedly set across parallel universes in which Allu Arjun plays a dual role for the first time in his career. It also reportedly has Janhvi Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur in prominent roles, and the announcement for the same will follow next. The shoot of AA22xA6 will begin soon.
