Los Angeles, June 7 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD is heading for a guaranteed massive start at the USA box office after the excellent response in the pre-sales which opened on June 6. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, the pre-sales rampage of the sci-fi epic has begun as it has already scored approximately $700K (5.85 crores) from 1391 shows in 337 locations, with 22729 tickets sold for premiers, according to Venky Box Office. The premiere will take place on June 26. ## The major theatres are reporting fast-filling status as the pre-sales are expected to grow over the next few days as more shows are opening gradually. Los Angeles, May 22 - Marvel Studios set to make a roaring comeback with Ryan Raynolds and Hugh Jackman's highly-anticipated Deadpool and Wolverine as pre-sales of the movie off to a flying start at the domestic (North America) box office. ## According to the ticketing portal Fandango, Deadpool & Wolverine has broken the record for day-one ticket sales for a 2024 movie. It also witnessed the best first-day pre-seller from the Deadpool franchise. While the official data are not revealed, The Hollywood Reporter reports that "Some 200,000 movie fans have bought their AMC tickets already which is around $8 million - $9 million.## Shawn Lavy's directorial film has outperformed all other 2024 blockbusters thus far, including the likes of Dune: Part Two, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, The Fall Guy, and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Deadpool 3 will seriously be looking to breach the billion-dollar mark, as expected by the trade. ## Deadpool 3 is intended to be the 34th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and a sequel to Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018). Mumbai, March 7 - After the good first two months of 2024, the Hindi film industry has now pinned its hope on Ajay Devgn-fronted supernatural horror thriller Shaitaan to continue the momentum at the box office. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film also stars Jyothika, R. Madhavan, and Janki Bodiwala in key roles and is scheduled to release on March 8.## Shaitaan has been able to generate a decent buzz, thanks to the genre and well-received trailer. The booking for the film was opened a couple of days back and though it is not over the roof it is still decent considering the horror genre which has a limited audience. ## As of 3 PM on March 7, the pre-sales gross collection of Shaitaan for the opening day is around 2.50 crores with close to 110K tickets sold. The final pre-sales of the movie are expected to finish around 3.50 crores for the opening day which will be a decent response. ## The pre-sales of Shaitaan are more or less similar to Sam Bahadur and Dream Girl 2 though the genre of both these films was different. Given the booking trend, the Ajay Devgn-starrer opening could be somewhere around Dream Girl 2 which scored 10.69 crores net. The walk-ins, given the positive word of mouth, are expected to be better than the aforementioned two films, plus the Ajay Devgn factor also boasts the chances.## There is a holiday on March 8 on account of Maha Shivratri which will further strengthen the film's opening day box office prospects so the start in the range of 10-13 crores is very much on the card. The good thing for Shaitaan is that there is no big competition this week apart from holdovers. The aerial action thriller marks the third collaboration between the duo and is easily one of the most-anticipated Bollywood films of 2024. ## The bookings for Fighter have already opened in some overseas territories and the initial response is strong. Mumbai, January 11 - Director Prasanth Varma's superhero film Hanuman, the first film in his planned Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe, is creating waves ahead of its release on January 12, even though it is not as big as other Sankranthi releases in terms of star power and scale. ## The movie, due to its mythological connection, is having a good buzz among the Telugu audiences and to cash in on the opportunity to spread the word of mouth, the makers have planned paid previews across the country on January 11 and the response to them has been sensational, to say the least. ## There have been a total of 660+ shows allotted for the Telugu version in paid premieres and the advance booking gross collection of them is close to 2.50 crores (including some block seats) with a fantastic occupancy of around 60%. Mumbai, December 19 - The ticketing website Book My Show's server crashed after the advance booking of superstar Prabhas-fronted Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire opened in the Telugu states as thousands of fans jumped to the website to book their tickets. ## The pre-sales, which were moving on at a decent pace, witnessed a sudden jump and crossed the 10 crores gross mark in no time. The action drama film directed by Prashanth Neel is now selling tickets at jet speed in advance which indicates a massive opening in Telugu states. ## As of 11 PM on December 19, Salaar sold over 400K tickets worth 10+ crores gross in all languages for the opening day in India. The Telugu version is leading with a 6+ crores gross collection, and more importantly, the shows are getting sold as soon as they open in Telugu states. ## While "Salaar" has started to gain the deciding momentum, superstar Shah Rukh Khan's social comedy-drama Dunki is also putting up a good show in the pre-sales despite being a mid-week release and not being a mass-friendly front-loaded blockbuster. ## The Rajkumar Hirani's directorial has also crossed the 10 crore gross mark from over 340K tickets sold in advance for the opening day. Mumbai, December 16 - The stage is set for the biggest box office clash of the year to cheer up the Christmas 2023 weekend in the form of Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki and Prabhas-fronted Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, releasing a day apart on December 21 and 22, respectively. ## Dunki, a comedy-drama based on illegal immigration, marks the maiden collaboration between the two giants of Bollywood cinema, SRK and director Rajkumar Hirani. It has been one of the most-anticipated films of the year and the fans are eager to witness this magical on-screen combo in theaters. ## Telugu superstar Prabhas teamed up with Kannada filmmaker Prashanth Neel for the first time on Salaar, an A-rated action drama about two best friends who turned biggest enemies. It story of the film will be completed in two parts, with the first part titled Salaar: Ceasefire releasing on December 22nd. ## Unlike Dunki, which will be released in just one language, Salaar is a Pan India film scheduled to hit in multiple languages. The booking of both movies started opening gradually. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the action drama has been rated with an "A" certificate by CBFC which has raised excitement among action film lovers. ## The advance booking of "Salaar" will be opened tomorrow in India. The actor joins superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the 1 million club. SRK's "Jawan" and "Pathaan" are currently the biggest advance sales scorers and both sold over 1 million tickets each. ## Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, "Animal", as of 8 PM on November 30, sold 10.50 lakh tickets worth approx. 26.75 crores gross for all languages for the opening day.
