Mahesh Babu's 'Guntur Kaaram' Off To Good Start In The North American Advance Sales

Los Angeles, January 5 - Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu and director Trivikram Srinivas' action drama Guntur Kaaram is having a good buzz among the audiences and is all set to a very good start at the domestic and overseas box office this Sankranthi festival.

"Guntur Kaaram" will have its USA premiere on January 11, and the booking of the same opened on a very good note. According to Venky Box Office, the pre-sales of the film for the premiere is approximately $320K (2.50 crores) from around 12.5K tickets sold in North America.



The film has witnessed a very good jump in pre-sales over the last couple of days as more shows are being added regularly. The movie is all set to open over $1 million premiere in North America. Mahesh Babu's films have done well in NA in the recent past and "Guntur Kaaram" is expected to join the long list of successful films.

The advances at the Indian box office are yet to open as the makers are awaiting the government order for ticket price hikes. The full-fledged bookings are expected to open by January 8/9, and once it opens, a bumper response is very much expected, especially in Telugu states.

Directed by Trivikram and produced by Haarika & Hassine Creations, the movie stars Sreeleela and Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female leads. Thaman S has composed the music for the film that is scheduled to release on January 12.
