Zoom Studios Announces Season 2 Of 'The Reunion' Mini-Series With New Actors

The popular mini-series by Zoom Studios, "The Reunion" is all set to come up with its new season with a fresh star cast. The first season received rave reviews for its refreshing storytelling and content and gained over 50 million views on Youtube and Facebook. ## While the first season showcased the life of four school friends who meet after 10 years, the new season will narrate an emotional and roller coaster journey of the Pujari family, who've drifted apart over the years and are now living separate lives. The story moves ahead as they reunite under one roof.## The first season was helmed by Karishma Kohli, but this time, the makers have roped in the acclaimed filmmaker Danish Aslam to direct the 10-part series. The new season will feature Lillette Dubey, Veer Rajwant Singh, Devika Vatsa, Prabal Panjabi, Kashmira Irani, and KK Raina in prominant roles. ## Talking about the series, Danish said, "The new season of 'The Reunion' is a slice of life series that explores the complexities and beauty of familial bonds, presented through a fresh and engaging narrative. Actor Rana Daggubati is gearing up for the release of his upcoming trilingual movie, Haathi Mere Saathi. The movie will be hitting theaters on March 26 simultaneously in Hindi as Haathi Mere Saathi, Tamil as Kaadan, and Telugu as Aranya. While the movie is expected to open well in Telugu and Tamil, Rana Daggubati feels it has the potential to change the game for Bollywood, and pull crowds to the theatres in massive numbers. ## Rana plays the role of Bandev, a man who has spent his life in the jungle and is committed to protecting and animals living in it. Directed by Prabhu Solomon, "Haathi Mere Saathi" has a background score by Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty.## "'Haathi Mere Saathi' is a story with a soul. It's a movie rooted deep in emotions and an enormity that can be realized only on the big screens. Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan adds one more diamond to his already shining hat as he will be honored with an award by the International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF). With this, Big B will become the first Indian cinema personality to be bestowed with the FIAF Award for his dedication and contribution to the preservation of the world's film heritage.## Hollywood filmmakers and previous recipients of the FIAF Award — Martin Scorcese and Christopher Nolan will present the award to Amitabh Bachchan during a virtual showcase scheduled to take place on March 19.## "This year FIAF celebrates the twentieth anniversary of its annual Award. To mark this momentous occasion, there could be no better recipient than one of the world's greatest movie stars, and one who has understood, embraced and publicized the cause of film preservation for years", Frederic Maire, President of FIAF, said in a statement.## "By presenting our prestigious FIAF Award to Amitabh Bachchan, we want to show the world how rich and diverse, but also how fragile, this unique film heritage is, and we want to publicly thank Bachchan for his role as a high-profile advocate for the rescue of this heritage, in India and beyond", he added.## Big B's name was nominated by the FIAF affiliate Film Heritage Foundation. The veteran actor said he is honored to receive the award for a cause he is "deeply committed".## "It was when I became the ambassador of Film Heritage Foundation in 2015, that I realized the extent of the neglect and colossal loss of our precious film heritage and how we continue to lose more of our legacy every day. Actress Kangana Ranaut is gearing up for the release of her keenly awaited multilingual biographical film, Thalaivi, based on the life of J. Jayalalithaa. The actress has completed the first half of dubbing for the film and will soon complete the second half too. Ahead of the release of the film as a long journey on Thalaivi coming to end, Kangana has special things to say about the director A.L. Vijay who has helmed this biopic. ## The 'Queen' actress took to Twitter and post a few pictures along with a long note in praise of Vijay and called him a Devta (deity). Jayalalithaa. Kangana essays Jayalalithaa in the film along with Arvind Swami who portrays the character of M. G. Ramachandran. The movie also stars Prakash Raj, Jisshu Sengupta, Madhoo, Poorna, and Bhagyashree in key roles. ## Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh have produced the film under the banners of Vibri Media, Karma Media And Entertainment, Gothic Entertainment, and Spirit Films. Ravichandran Ashwin Wins ICC Player Of The February Month Award

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the player of the February month award on Tuesday. Team India all-rounder, Ravichandran Ashwin named the male player of the month and becomes the second consecutive Indian to win the award. Earlier, wicketkeeper-batsman, Rishabh Pant had won the inaugural player of the month award for his heroic performance against Australia in Australia in January.## Ravichandran Ashwin put up an all-round show against England in the 4-match home Test series. He took 32 wickets in 4 matches in which, 24 wickets came in the month of February in 3 Tests. He also made a brilliant hundred in the second Test in Chennai and helped India to win the match by 317 runs.
