B Praak Dedicates His National Award For Teri Mitti To His Fans

Mumbai, April 21, 2021: Singer B Praak was shot to fame after he sang "Teri Mitti" song from Akshay Kumar starrer "Kesari". The patriotic Hindi song which gives as a tribute to soldiers received a brilliant response from fans, and later, B Praak won the prestigious National Award as Best Playback Singer for the song. ## He calls the win a blessing and expresses gratitude. "It feels absolutely amazing as I never thought that I would one day get a National Award. It definitely makes me feel blessed to have got it. It's all due to God’s grace", B Praak told IANS.## When asked to whom he will dedicate this award, the singer said, "Definitely to my fans! They have always been one of my greatest support systems and are my constant inspiration. It's their continued blessings and love that helped me reach such heights of success and today has led me to receive a National Award".## The 35-year old singer from Punjab also recalled the reaction Akshay Kumar gave when he listened to the song for the first time. "I remember the first time I dubbed the song, Akshay Kumar sir called to congratulate me and conveyed how the song had touched his soul and appreciated how beautifully it was sung. I'll never forget his words where he said, you have sung the best song of my life. Hearing this, I was left speechless. That day I truly realized that this song would stay in my heart and this world forever".## Teri Mitti song was launched on 15 March 2019 while the movie, Kesari released on March 21. This song also has a female version which is sung by Parineeti Chopra who appeared in the movie as the female lead. Kochi, April 21, 2021: It was reported last year that Vyjayanthi Movies will be joining hands with Dulquer Salmaan yet again for a period love story. And now, on the occasion of Ram Navami, makers have released a short video that gives us a glimpse of Salmaan's character as Lieutenant Ram. ## Said to be a period love story set in 1964, the untitled film will be directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, who is best known for directing movies like LIE, Padi Padi Leche Manasu, among others. The iconic production house Swapna Cinema is also associated with the movie. ## ## Just like Mahanati, this film too will be multi-lingual and will be released in three South Indian languages, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. The music of the film will be composed by Vishal Chandrasekar. A few weeks ago, Bollywood along with Southern film industries announced the release dates of their pending movies one after another as the coronavirus cases were slowing down. However, the enthusiasm soon died down after the second wave of the covid-19 pandemic started showing its effect which is now getting out of hand. ## Due to the second wave, films like Sooryavanshi, Thalaivi, Chehre, Love Story, Tuck Jagadish which were slated to release in April, are now postponed indefinitely. And if reports are to be believed, movies scheduled for release in the month of May may also get postponed further. ## According to reports, the union government led by prime minister Narendra Modi is planning to take big steps to curb the speed of the second wave of the covid-19. While the government has already ruled out the complete nationwide lockdown, sources say that the government is seriously considering the strategy of "unlock phase 2" of the last year. ## If this happens, then the theaters will be closed again for the entire month of May or beyond. On the other hand, the exhibitors and theater owners will be hoping that such a decision not be taken as they have already suffered enough and another push might dig them in the deep haul. ## May is the month of Eid and a lot of big summer releases. Mumbai, April 21, 2021: Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, and Priyanka Chopra starrer "Waqt: The Race Against Time" has turned 16. The family drama movie was released on April 20 in 2005. It was the first film for Vipul Shah as a producer and it became a memorable one for the filmmaker. ## Vipul Shah recalls how Big B and Akshay offered not to take fees for their work in Waqt in order to support him. He recalls that he discussed Waqt with the two superstars during the time when he was directing both of them in "Aankhen". ## "While we were making Aankhen, I had discussed a play that was written and directed by Aatish Kapadia, with Amit sir and Akshay. They both loved the story and we decided to make this film". ## "When I informed Amitji and Akshay about me turning producer with this film, both of them were willing to waive off their fees, but my partner (on the film) Mr. Manmohan Shetty and I did not agree with it, and paid them their remuneration. But the fact that such big superstars stood by me and were even willing to waive off their fees, was a very touching and heartwarming gesture", says the filmmaker. ## Waqt was made on a budget of INR 16 crores and it proved to be a box office success with around INR 42 crores worldwide gross collection. Apart from producing the film, Vipul Shah also donned a director's hat. It also starred Shefali Shah, Rajpal Yadav, and Boman Irani in key roles. ## Shah later went on to produce hits like "Force", "Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty", "Singh Is Kinng", "Commando" among others. Delhi High Court Summons Filmmakers On SSR's Father's Petition To Ban Films On Late Actor's Life

Mumbai, April 20, 2021: After the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput last year, many filmmakers announced movies on the late actor's life. Among the films that got approval from the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA), "Nyaay: The Justice" was one of them. However, the movie has now got into trouble after SSR's father filed a petition in Delhi High Court to ban the films inspired by the life of his son. ## On Tuesday (April 20), the Delhi High Court issued summons to the makers of a biopic. The HC was ruling on a petition filed by SSR's father, Krishna Kishore Singh, who sought a ban on the film stating that people were trying to use the actor's death for their benefit.## The decision comes a few days after a new teaser of the upcoming film "Nyaay: The Justice" was released. The film is reportedly a tribute to Sushant. The teaser shows an actor named Mahinder Singh talking about his performance in the highly successful film "Cricket" and the relationship he shared with his manager, family members, and friends. ## The petition filed by KK Singh states that people are using Sushant's name to get fame by developing different theories/stories, at the cost of his and his family's reputation. The petition, which was referred to films like Nyay: The Justice, Suicide or Murder: A Star Was Lost and Shashank, also states that none of the filmmakers associated with these projects took KK Singh's consent before going ahead with the projects.## "Nyaay: The Justice" stars Zuber Khan and Shreya Shukla in the lead roles along with Asrani, Shakti Kapoor, Sudha Chandran, Aman Verma, Kiran Kumar, Milind Gunaji, and others in key roles. Michael Keaton has been confirmed to return as Batman in the upcoming DC superhero film, "The Flash" which has started production in London on Monday (April 19). Keaton will be returning as Batman nearly after 30 years to appear alongside Ezra Miller in Warner Bros' long-awaited film. ## The production start of "The Flash" comes after over six years since the Ezra Miller-led superhero film was first announced in 2014. Andy Muschietti is directing the project with sister Barbara Muschietti serving as a producer through their recently formed production company Double Dream. The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on November 4, 2022.## Keaton's arrival as Batman is massive news for the DC fans. However, the actor recently raised the eyebrows of his fans when he hinted in an interview with Deadline that he might not do "The Flash" because of his concerns about the COVID-19 situation in the UK. ## "To be honest with you, you know what worries me more than anything about all this stuff? It's COVID. I'm more concerned. I keep my eye more on the COVID situation in the UK than anything. That will determine everything, and so that's why I'm living outside the city here on 17 acres, staying away from everybody, because the COVID thing has got me really concerned.
