Mumbai, April 19, 2021, Ajay Devgn is all set to collaborate again with OTT giant, Disney Plus Hotstar after the direct-to-digital announcement of his upcoming movie, Bhuj: The Pride of India. While the official announcement to be made tomorrow, the actor will reportedly be making his digital debut with the Disney+Hotstar show, Luther, which is the official adaptation of the British classic psychological crime thriller of the same name starring Idris Alba in the lead. ## Ajay Devgn took to Twitter and shared a small video with a caption, "Ek din ka intezaar aur ek badi news! The pre-production work is currently underway while the shooting timeline will be decided soon. ## 'Luther' is a popular British television show starring Idris Alba, a near-genius, dedicated police officer, who is obsessed with his job of catching criminals. Ajay will be stepping in the shoes of Idris and will be playing the role of a detective. ## On the film front, Ajay is currently shooting for his directorial MayDay. The actor-director duo created magic with Sanjay Dutt's biopic which not only entered the rare 300 crores club but also proved to be a life-changing movie for Ranbir who has had a share of ups and downs so far. ## It wasn't the first time Ranbir and Hirani worked together, earlier, Ranbir played a small cameo in Hirani's "PK" which starred Aamir Khan in the title role. After "PK", there has been strong buzz that Ranbir will be headlining the sequel of "PK" with Hirani to direct. Furthermore, it's suggested that Rajkummar Hirani had shared two stories with SRK, one on the lines of the Munnabhai franchise and another a story about immigration and SRK agreed upon the immigration one. ## It is also said that Hirani had shared the same story with Ranbir but the director felt it required a senior actor and on finding out about SRK's interest in the film. Hirani's film, which is said to be a typical Hirani space of social comedy, with Ranbir Kapoor will be the director's next after SRK's film. ## "He is definitely doing one more film with Ranbir, and it's just a matter of time. Apart from showing the defense team in action, it also shows the planning that went into taking down the terrorists while ensuring the safety of the civilians. Los Angeles, April 17, 2021, Hollywood actor Alfred Molina is all set to return to the upcoming Spider-Man movie after 17-years. The actor confirmed that he will be seen in "Spider-Man: No Way Home", reprising his iconic character of Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus.## "When we were shooting it, we were all under orders not to talk about it, because it was supposed to be some great big secret. But, you know, it's all over the internet. I actually described myself as the worst kept secret in Hollywood!" Molina told Variety.## "It was wonderful (about his role). It was very interesting going back after 17 years to play the same role, given that in the intervening years, I now have two chins, a wattle, crow's feet, and a slightly dodgy lower back", he added. ## Molina played Otto Octavius in Sam Raimi's 2004 global blockbuster "Spider-Man 2", starring Tobey Maguire as the Spider-Man. In the film, Octavius becomes the diabolical Doctor Octopus, or Doc Oc, after a failed experiment that takes his wife's life and spawns neurologically fused tentacles in his body.## The upcoming movie in the Spider-Man franchise, titled "Spider-Man: No Way Home" is the sequel to "Spider-Man: Far From Home" (2019) and the 27th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Amazon Prime Video's 'The Rings of Power' First Season Cost A Whopping $462 Million

Mumbai, February 11 - Amazon Prime Video has spent millions of dollars for the upcoming epic fantasy adventure The Lord of the Rings series, titled "The Rings of Power". The company bought the television rights for series for a whopping US$250 million in November 2017, making a five-season production commitment worth at least US$1 billion. ## Now, it is reported that the first season of "The Rings of Power" TV show will cost the retail giant an unimaginable over $462 million to produce, making it one of the costliest series ever made. ## In April last year, New Zealand's minister for economic development and tourism revealed that the fantasy drama will be one of the most costly television series ever made, with its season one price tag coming in at around $465 million.## With this kind of price, it is likly the highest amount ever spent for a single season of any TV series. For comparison, HBO's "Game of Thrones" cost around $100 million per season. Season one episodes cost around $6 million each and eventually rose to around $15 million by season eight.## Among the other top productions, Disney spent around "100 million" on the first season of The Mandalorian. Marvel's "Wanda Vision" to cost Disney around US$25 million per episode and nine episodes comprise max at US$225 million. But none is as big as Amazon's "The Lord of the Rings".## "The Rings of Power" series is developed by J. D. Payne, and Patrick McKay based on "The Lord of The Rings" stories by J. R. R. Tolkien. The series, set thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, begins during a time of relative peace and covers all of the major events from the Second Age of Middle-earth: the forging of the Rings of Power, the rise of the Dark Lord Sauron, the story of the island kingdom of Númenor, and the last alliance between Elves and Men.## It stars Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Maxim Baldry, Nazanin Boniadi, Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Charles Edwards, among others in prominent roles. She said there is a sense of "magic" in theatres, which has always been there and will never go away.## "I miss it because there's the magic associated with the theatre, there's a whole childhood nostalgia, and it's a very immersive experience. You go there and you become a part of the world there", Aditi told IANS.## However, due to the lockdown last year, the OTT platforms witnessed an exponential rise in terms of new content and subscribers, and Aditi is not wrong when she says that OTTs have been the actor's best friend in many ways. ## "In the lockdown, OTT platforms have been our best friends. With OTT, there has been amazing writing, content, and the way the audience has consumed the content, that's been really incredible. As an actor, there is so much more to do on it, in fact, for directors, writers, and everyone in the industry it has opened a whole new world", she said.## With the rise of OTTs, Aditi feels that there will be a time when both, OTTs and theaters will be at the same level as each platform is powerful in its own way. ## "For writers, directors, actors, it has opened up a new world in terms of stories that one can only make for OTT which is different from (what) one makes for the theatres. Quite often, the theatrical films are larger-than-life and mounted differently. A producer might tell it better, how it is structured. OTT is different because the pressure is different", she says.## On the work front, Aditi will next be seen in the Tamil film "Hey Sinamika", which also stars Dulquer Salmaan, and Kajal Aggarwal, and Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie "Maha Samudram", co-starring Sharwanand, Siddharth, and Anu Emmanuel. Chennai, April 17, 2021, Renowned Tamil actor, Vivek who shared the screen space with Rajinikanth, Vijay, Ajith Kumar, and others, died due to a heart attack in a Chennai hospital in the early hours of Saturday. He was admitted to SIMS Hospital in Vadapalani where he underwent an angioplasty and stenting procedure on Friday for a complete block in a critical blood vessel of the heart. He was put on ECMO support in the intensive care unit.## The actor, who was 59 years old, made his debut in 1987 with Manathil Uruthi Vendum which also starred late S. P. Balasubrahmanyam. He worked on over 200 movies and all those movies were in the Tamil language. His last movie before his death was Dharala Prabhu which is the remake of the Hindi movie, Vicky Donor. Amid the reports of creative differences, Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has reportedly sacked the nation's heartthrob, Kartik Aaryan from the sequel of Dostana stating the actor's "unprofessional behavior". It has also been said that Dharma Productions or any other film business of Karan Johar has vowed never to work with Kartik again.## Earlier, there were reports that Kartik Aaryan is no longer part of Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham starrer Dostana sequel as he wanted some changes in the script to which Johar didn't agree upon. Along with the creative differences, it has also been reported that Janhvi Kapoor and Kartik have had a fallout and he was not ready to share screen space with the actress which led to a rift between Karan and Kartik. ## However, as per the reports, Karan Johar was annoyed with Kartik's tantrums. The production house was also not happy with Kartik continuing to delay the shoot sitting date issues which make things further complicated and eventually led both Karan and Kartik to part ways despite the 20 days of shoot for Dostana 2 had already done. ## "It's strange for an outsider like Kartik to give such attitude to a nepo kid like Janhvi and a producer like Dharma. This, after shooting for 20 days. It will cost us crores and also put on hold the career of Lakshya who was making his debut. Janhvi is a star and will go on to do other big films", a source quoted in an entertainment portal said. ## For those who do not know, Dostana 2 is the sequel to the 2008 comedy Dostana and will be directed by Collin D'Cunha and whereas Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta under Dharma Productions will be producing the film. Jr. NTR To Team Up With Prashanth Neel For NTR31; Will Go On Floors After Prabhas' Salaar

Hyderabad, May 20, 2021: Last year, on Jr. NTR's birthday, K.G.F. director Prashanth Neel hinted about his collaboration with the actor for #NTR31, however, due to the covid-19 pandemic and the duo's respective projects, further proceedings on the highly anticipated association couldn't take place. But recently, Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers disclosed a special update on #NTR31. ## The producer duo had confirmed NTR's film with Neel and also confirmed that it will go on floors after Prabhas starrer, "Salaar" which is being directed by Neel. The movie is said to be made on a budget of around 150 crores. It will be NTR's second Pan India release after Rajamouli's "RRR", which is scheduled to release on October 13 this year. #NTR30 will release worldwide on April 29, 2022. ## On the other hand, Prashanth Neel is waiting for the release of KGF: Chapter 2 starring Yash and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles.
