A Film Titled 'Backwaters' On Kerala's Missing Child Has Been Announced

Mumbai, April 27, 2021: Film Producer Sunil Jain of SJP, Ashish Arjun Gaikar's AGFS, and Ankit Chandiramani's Sunshine Studios have announced an investigative thriller film on Kerala's mission child. A film, delving into the mysterious world of child trafficking and missing children in God's own country is titled "Backwaters". ## Based on the true events of missing children from Kerala, the film "Backwaters" will be helmed by Abhinav Thakur - an FTII graduate best known for helming short film "Rangmanch". The movie looks at how even God is not aware of what has happened to the missing children of Kerala - the God's Own Country, especially the missing case of a seven-year-old, Rahul Raju, who went missing in May 2005 and has never been found.## Delhi theatre actor Sartaazh Khari will play the role of the CBI officer investigating the case while UK model Neeta Paryani will play the fact-finding journalist conducting a simultaneous investigation. ## "We found Sartaazh to be apt for the role. We are exploring all the angles of how the children went missing and how a sharp CBI officer exploring the case looks at every eventuality but is unable to nail a single one. Journalists have also played an important role in this case and Neeta was pitch-perfect for the scribe who does her own research and investigation into the cases of the missing children", says the director.## To better prepare for the role, Sartaazh has been meeting several top CBI officers while Neena's been meeting journalists who have followed the case. The movie will go on floors by the end of the year at real locations in the backwaters of Alappuzha in Kerala. ## Stay tuned...

The 93rd Academy Awards' TV Ratings At All-Time Low In Early Numbers

Los Angeles, April 27, 2021: The 93rd Academy Awards ceremony, which was held in the early morning (as per IST) on Monday (April 26), couldn't grab the attention of the audience, as the TV Ratings of the ceremony was all-time low as per early numbers. ## This year's Oscars joined the recent awards shows such as Grammys, Golden Globes, and SAG Awards, which witnessed a sharp decline in tv viewing from the previous year. As per early numbers, the 93rd Oscars drew 9.85 million viewers and a 1.9 rating among adults of 18-49 on Sunday. However, the final numbers may increase after they come out on Tuesday. ## Last year, the numbers were high with 23.64 million viewers and 5.3 ratings in the key ad demographic. The decline of 58 percent for Oscars 2021 is the second-highest after Golden Globes (62 percent) in the recently organized award shows. The Grammys and SAG Awards also had witnessed a decline of more than 50 percent from their previous year. ## Despite making changes in the format of the show, the reviews for the Oscars were mixed. Daniel Fienberg, who is the critic at The Hollywood Reporter, felt that the producers' gamble in making best actor the final category fell flat when an absent Anthony Hopkins won for The Father and the show ended somewhat abruptly.## Meanwhile, it was the first time Oscars was held virtually and in-person due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. It took place in Los Angeles - at both Union Station and the Dolby Theatre.## Stay tuned...
