Salman Khan To Donate Rs. 1500 Each To Film Industry Workers

Mumbai, May 7, 2021: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has once again set an example for others as he has decided to donate money to the film industry workers who have suffered the most during the covid-19 pandemic. The actor will be donating Rs 1500 each to 25,000 workers of the Hindi film industry. ## Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE) president BN Tiwari confirmed to ETimes, "We have sent Salman Khan a list of names of the people in need and he has agreed to deposit the money". ## Apart from donating money, Salman Khan recently distributed food packets to frontline warriors through his philanthropic initiative. The actor had started the initiative with Yuva Sena leader Rahul Kanal and they arranged meal kits for nearly 5,000 frontline workers which include police personnel and health care workers. ## Besides the above-mentioned initiatives, Salman Khan Films and Zee Studios recently announced that the revenues generated through the multiplatform release of Salman Khan starrer upcoming movie, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, will be used towards covid-19 relief. ## Last year too, the superstar had transferred funds into the accounts of daily wage workers from the film industry. Mumbai, May 7, 2021: As India is going through the devastating second wave of the covid-19, more and more people coming forward to help the country to tackle the crisis. In this process, Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and his actress wife Anushka Sharma have launched a campaign "In This Together" with an aim to raise funds towards Covid relief measures. ## The celebrity couple shared a video on Instagram where they made people aware of the fundraiser and asked them to donate. The total amount that the fundraiser wishes to raise INR 7 crore of which INR 2 crore has been donated by the couple itself.## The campaign "In This Together" will run for seven days on Ketto and the funds raised will be directed to ACT Grants who is the implementation partner for this campaign and has been extensively working towards providing oxygen, medical manpower, vaccination awareness, and telemedicine facilities during the covid-19 pandemic. ## Virat said, "We are going through an unprecedented time in the history of our country and our nation needs all of us to unite and save as many people as possible. Anushka and I have been shocked to see human suffering since last year. Aditya Chopra Launches Yash Chopra Saathi Initiative To Support Daily Wage Earners Of Film Industry

Mumbai, May 7, 2021: In the time of a devastating second wave of the covid-19 which has brought the nation to its knees, Aditya Chopra, Chairman, and MD of leading Bollywood production house Yash Raj Films has come to the rescue of the people of the entertainment industry. ## To support the daily wage earners of the film industry, Aditya Chopra has launched the "Yash Chopra Foundation's Saathi Initiative", which will provide financial support to thousands of film industry workers whose livelihood at risk due to the pandemic. ## As part of the initiative, the Yash Raj foundation will oversee "direct benefit transfers" of Rs 5000 (equivalent to $68) to women and senior citizens in the industry as well as distribute "ration kits" to workers for a family of four for one month through their NGO partners Youth Feed India.## The support can be applied through a website - Yash Chopra Foundation's Saathi Initiative set up for applications. ## #AdityaChopra launches Yash Chopra Saathi Initiative to support thousands of daily wage earners of film industry who are in crisis due to loss of livelihood... In the letter, the production house has mentioned that the Hindi film industry has suffered a lot amidst the pandemic and it is necessary to start it at the earliest so that 'thousands of workers can start earning their livelihood again'.## Later, FWICE wrote a letter to the CM requesting him to consider YRF's request. Talking about the urgency of the members of the film industry getting vaccinated, the letter mentioned, "Vaccination is very important not only to fight the disease but also to fight against the dropping economy of the state". Based on the American stunt reality television series, Fear Factor, Season 11 of KKK will be shot amid a strict bio bubble due to the covid-19 pandemic. ## The "Khatron Ke Khiladi 11" team has been working on the final logistics and will fly off to Cape Town in May for a month-long schedule.
