Mumbai, April 30 - Bollywood movies have stuck in between mass and class cinema, especially in the last couple of years. By doing this, the Bollywood filmmakers end up making something that is not being liked by both sets of audiences. This is also one of the main reasons behind the popularity of South Indian movies among the Hindi audiences.
Apart from the popularity of South Indian movies over Bollywood due to their mass appeal, the Hindi film industry has also often been criticized for its lack of originality. To understand this, there are at least 20+ Hindi remakes in the different stages of production, and most of them are already available in the dubbed Hindi version on YouTube.
However, amid the plethora of remakes, there are enough original and audience-appealing movies coming up that need to look upon. The two of them are Kangana Ranaut's "Dhaakad", and Aditya Roy Kapur's "Om - The Battle Within", and the teaser/trailers of both were recently released. Both the movies involve no-nonsense high-octane action sequences that promise a thrilling ride on the big screen.
Talking about Kangana's "Dhaakad", its action sequences have been performed under the supervision of international artists and the trailer has also raised the bar high. Directed by Razneesh Razy Ghai, "Dhaakad" is perhaps the first Indian high-octane actioner fronted by a female star. It also stars Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta as the antagonists.
In the movie, Kangana plays the role of Agni, a highly trained and deadly field agent, who is entrusted with a mission to gather Intel and eliminate Rudraveer (Rampal), an international human and arms trafficker who has been off the radar for ten years. Produced by Sohum Rockstar Entertainment, Sohel Maklai Productions, and Asylum Films, "Dhaakad" will hit screens on May 20th in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Aditya Roy Kapur's "Om - The Battle Within" is another film that is going to be a fest for action lovers this summer. Directed by Kapil Verma, the movie features Aditya Roy Kapur as a soldier and the story of the movie revolves around an emotionally disturbing relationship in the line of duty.
The teaser of "Om" was released on April 28 with the tagline, "Ek ladai ko jeetne ke liye usse kai baar ladna padta hai, rakth rahe ya na rahe rashtra humesha rahega". The teaser involves death-defying action scenes that promise a larger-than-life experience on the big screen. Sanjana Sanghi plays the female lead along with Neeraj Pardeep Purohit, and Vicky Arora among others in key roles.
Produced by Zee Studios in association with Paperdoll Entertainment, and INCAS Produzioni, "Om - The Battle Within" is scheduled to release on July 1st, 2022.
