Ajay Devgn, And Tabu-Fronted 'Drishyam 2' Ropes In Akshaye Khanna

Mumbai, April 30 - Ajay Devgn, and Tabu-fronted "Drishyam 2" has a new addition in the form of Akshaye Khanna. "Drishyam 2" is the Hindi remake of the Mohanlal-starrer 2021 Malayalam movie of the same name, and it also features Shriya Saran and Ishita Dutta in key roles.

The story of "Drishyam 2" takes place six years after the events of Drishyam (2015). The original movie chronicled the story of a family of four whose lives turned upside down following an unfortunate incident with their older daughter.



Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the sequel will see Ajay Devgn reprising his role as Vijay Salgoankar. Tabu, who started filming for the movie earlier this week, will return as Meera Deshmukh, Inspector General of Police, Goa. Shriya Saran returns as the wife of Vijay Salgoankar and Ishita Dutta as their daughter.

The sequel is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak under the banners of T-Series and Panorama Studios in association with Viacom18 Studios. It will be released in the last quarter of 2022.

In an Instagram post, Tabu shared the news of the casting of Akshaye Khanna, who was last seen in "Hungama 2". "Delighted to have a gem of an actor on board for #Drishyam2. Akshaye Khanna..#TrulyTalented", Tabu wrote in the caption.
