Hyderabad, July 1 - The Tollywood film industry producers have brought new rules for the upcoming movies starting from today (July 1). The industry has been a standout performer during the covid-19 pandemic, however, it reduced the gap between theatrical and OTT window, which has now been revised.## From July 1st onwards, all the top stars' movies will have to complete at least 8 weeks of the theatrical window before making them available while other movies will need a minimum of 6 weeks to run in theaters. This move will certainly help theater owners to maximize the potential of hit movies. ## The rule of the mandatory theatrical window for Telugu movies came after many top stars' movies opted for the OTT route only 4 weeks of theatrical release. Some of them even went for just a 3-week window, which includes Prabhas' "Radhe Shyam". The rule will apply to only theatrical releases After Tollywood, other film industries may also make mandatory window for the theatrical releases, which is the need of the hour. Chennai, June 30 - Tamil superstar Suriya's legal drama film Jai Bhim holds a special mention in Tamil cinema. Directed by T. J. Gnanavel, the film deals with the subject of police bias and state violence against a marginalized community. ## Based on a true incident in 1993, which involves a case fought by Justice K. Chandru, it revolves around the lives of Sengeni and Rajakannu, a couple from the Irular tribe. Rajakannu was arrested by the police and was later missing from the police station. Sengeni seeks the help of an advocate Chandru to seek justice for her husband.## Upon its release on Amazon Prime Video in November last year, "Jai Bhim" got high critical appreciation. However, the movie's digital release left the audiences and Suriya's fans disappointed as many felt it deserved theatrical release for its bold and sensitive subject. ## Well, there is good news for the fans as "Jai Bhim" is making its way to theaters for the first time in India. Mumbai, June 30 - Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, after a blockbuster box office outing (still running), has stormed the digital world by taking the number 1 position in the most-watched non-English movie worldwide on Netflix. ## The Anees Bazmee-directed movie debuted on Netflix on 17 June at number 5 with 4.12 million watch hours worldwide in the first 3 days. During the last week (June 20 - June 26), BB2 topped the viewership and was the most-watched non-English film worldwide with 12.29 million viewing hours. ## Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani, BB2 is the 3rd Indian movie in the last two months to score the top position on Netflix after Alia Bhatt's "Gangubai Kathiwadi", and director Rajamouli's "RRR". The movie will be released in the original Japanese language on Thursday (June 30) in the 2D, IMAX 2D, and 4DX formats. ## Based on the manga series Jujutsu Kaisen 0, "Jujutsu Kaisen 0" has already sold over 17K tickets at the national multiplex chains in India, which is very good considering the movie is having a limited release and that too in the original language. Such good advance booking of the movie also becomes very good knowing the fact that Japanese movies haven't had a great history at the Indian box office. ## Directed by Sunghoo Park, the movie is a prequel to the Jujutsu Kaisen manga series. It was originally released on December 24, 2021, in Japan before the international rollout. Hyderabad, June 28 - It looks like there will be further delay in the release of two of the most-awaited Pan India biggies from South India. Prabhas-fronted Salaar and Allu Arjun-starrer Puhspa - The Rule will most likely to release in second half of 2023, due to the delay in production. ## The Prashanth Neel directorial "Salaar" has been in production since last year. It was originally announced for the release in April 2021, however, the makers were forced to delay the release as the shoot of the movie is nowhere close to completion.## Director Prashanth Neel had recently said that the entire shoot of the film will be completed by this year-end only as only 30% of the entire filming is done yet. The film will now be released in the second half of the next year. Before the release of "Salaar", Prabhas might see two releases in the form of "Adipurush" and one more film which he will start shooting soon. There is Nag Ashwin's "Project K" will also be released next year, however, the date is yet to be known. ## Meanwhile, Allu Arjun's "Pushpa - The Rule" is also gearing up for the second half of the 2023 release. It was expected to start shooting in April this year, but writer-director Sukumar is taking longer than expected time in the script and has been working on it to make it a true Pan-India appealing. ## According to Pinkvilla, "The movie is now scheduled to go on floors by August with a prolonged schedule spanning for over 6 months. According to Peepingmoon.com, Deepika has joined the explosive action thriller for a small but significant role. ## Deepika, who is currently shooting for Prabhas-fronted mega movie "Project K" will reportedly join the "Jawan" shoot in the Hyderabad schedule. Producer Vinod Bhanushali and Sandeep Singh have joined hands to bring the epic life story of the late PM of India to the big screen.## The movie, titled "Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon Yeh Desh Rehna Chahiye - Atal", will be an adaptation of Penguin Random House India's book The Untold Vajpayee: Politician And Paradox by author Ullekh NP.
