Dhanush's 'Thiruchitrambalam' Release Date Locked!

Chennai, May 24 - Actor Dhanush will have a busy year with back-to-back releases, including his big Hollywood debut, The Gray Man. Directed by Russo Brothers, the movie is touted to be a global spy thriller that also stars Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, and Ana de Armas in leading roles. It will premiere on Netflix on July 22. ## Dhanush, apart from The Gray Man, will be headlining his long-awaited romantic comedy, Thiruchitrambalam, which also stars Raashi Khanna, Nithya Menen, and Priya Bhavani Shankar as female leads, with Prakash Raj and Bharathiraja in supporting roles. The film's shooting was completed in October last year in just fifty days but the release got delayed due to the covid-19 pandemic.## Produced by Sun Pictures, Thiruchitrambalam will now reportedly be released in theaters on Dhanush's birthday on July 28, Thursday. Hyderabad, May 24 - The Bengaluru-based production house, Hombale Films is a powerful force behind some of the biggest Indian titles. After delivering all-time Pan-India blockbusters in the form of KGF films, the studio is now tightening its grip on another Pan-India biggie, "Salaar" starring superstar Prabhas. ## The success of "KGF Chapter 2" has tempted the makers to aim big with "Salaar" and as expected, they are working towards making this Prashanth Neel-directed movie the biggest in Indian cinema. Around 30 percent of the film has already been shot and the rest of the shoot will be completed by the end of this year before the movie gets ready for the Summer 2023 release. ## During the recent interview with Pinkvilla, producer Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films said that they are putting their best efforts to achieve big with the upcoming film. "We have set the bar very high for Salaar. On one hand, we have Prabhas, who is the hero of India's number one movie (Bahubali 2) and on the other hand, we have Prashanth Neel and Hombale, who made the second-biggest film in India (KGF 2)".## "This is a deadly combination and it's going to be a big challenge. The combination has created the buzz and now, since we have set the bar so high, we will try our best to reach the target. Chennai, May 23 - Tamil movie Don is all set to become the biggest grosser ever for actor Sivakarthikeyan whose popularity is on the rise. It has been a dream box office run for, Don, so far and it isn't looking to slow down anytime soon. ## Directed by debutante Cibi Chakaravarthi, Don, will become only the second movie for Sivakarthikeyan to enter Rs. 100 crores worldwide gross club. It has grossed approx. 89 crores worldwide in just 10 days, including Rs. 69 crores at the domestic box office in both Tamil and Telugu languages. In Chennai city, Don has scored 6.15 crores, which is a fantastic result. Overseas, it has minted approx. 20 crores. ## The coming-of-age romantic comedy is one of the biggest grosser of 2022 in Tamil Nadu state. Through second Sunday, it has grossed 58 crores in the home state and is likely to add 10-15 crores more to its tally before Kamal Haasan's biggie, Vikram, arrives on June 3rd. ## Don will become the biggest scorer for Siva, by surpassing his last year's blockbuster, Doctor. Directed by Parasuram, the movie received mixed reviews which affected its biz over the weekdays. However, the star power of Mahesh Babu saved the movie as it is now heading towards a hit status. ## "Sarkaru Vaari Paata" had grossed Rs 144.3 crores in the first week at the domestic box office, which is the highest opening total for a regional movie in 2022. The collection on the second weekend remained on the lower side as it grossed Rs. 10.20 crores, pushing the total domestic gross to Rs. 154.5 crores through the second Sunday. ## The movie is super strong in the Telugu states. Amid the allegations of inflating box office collection, the movie has managed to collect Rs. 137 crores gross in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, including Rs. 93.05 crores share collection. Box Office: Saunkan Saunkne And Dharmaveer Second Weekend Collection

Mumbai, May 23 - Punjabi blockbuster "Saunkan Saunkne" has completed the second weekend at the box office with flying colors. The Ammy Virk, Sargun Mehta, and Nimrat Khaira-starrer movie had scored an excellent first week at the worldwide box office with Rs. 30.10 crores gross. ## Directed by Amarjit Singh Saron, the movie continued to be strong at the domestic box office and minted a very good Rs. 5.50 crores net in the second weekend. The weekend to weekend drop is just 43%, which is a phenomenal hold for a regional movie. At the overseas box office, it scored approx. 2.50 crores gross in the second weekend, taking the total worldwide collection to approx. 39 crores in just 10 days. ## "Saunkan Saunkne", produced by Naad Sstudios, JR Production House, and Dreamiyata, has also become the 6th highest-grossing Punjabi film of all time. The comedy-drama movie should be able to break into the top 5 as it might reach the 50 crores mark by the end of its run. Until now, only 4 Punjabi movies have reached the 50 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office, and "Saunkan Saunkne" could become the 5th on the list. ## While "Saunkan Saunkne" has had a record-breaking box office run so far, Marathi film "Dharmaveer" too is showing strong legs. It had minted Rs. 13.87 crores net in the opening week. The movie remained strong in the second weekend as well and scored Rs. 3.85 crores, pushing the total net collection to Rs. 17.72 crores.## Directed by Pravin Tarde, the movie follows a larger-than-life messiah for thousands, Anand Dighe aka Dharmaveer. He was considered a powerful muscleman in Thane and would hold a daily Durbar at his Tembhi Naka residence to hear out/resolve issues faced by Thane citizens along with Shiv Sena party workers. There is one more film going to find its place on his hit list Kartik Aaryan's "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2". ## The sequel to Priyadarshan's 2007's horror-comedy featuring Akshay Kumar in the lead, "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2" opened last Friday and took the biggest opening for Kartik and went on to register a blockbuster weekend with Rs 55+ crores. The success of BB2 is winning praise for Bazmee who has delivered another hit despite the difficult circumstances for the industry. ## The director will now be moving to another sequel to his superhit film "No Entry" (2005). Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan will be returning as the lead trio and the shooting for the same will commence later this year.
