Mumbai, September 7 - Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan is carefully working on the script of Hrithik Roshan-fronted Krrish 4 as he is aware of what the audiences are looking for nowadays from superhero films. Krrish 4 was announced a long time back but could never get finalized due to the covid-19 pandemic. ## During a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rakesh Roshan revealed that he has almost done the script and is waiting for the right time to take it on floors. "My scripting is almost done. It's a big-budget film. The challenge for me is that in today's day and age, people are aware of and watch superhero films from all over the world. These superhero films are made on very big budgets. And we don't have such big budgets". ## The filmmaker further said that to make a superhero film in India, it is very important for the content of the movie to be strong and with newer ideas to come at par with the big-budget superhero movies.## "Our films are released in India and certain overseas territories with a huge South Asian diaspora and hence our box office potential is limited as compared to Hollywood. So, I am just waiting for the right time when the audiences would start flocking to the cinemas once again in big numbers", he added. ## Meanwhile, Rakesh Roshan hinted that there may be multiple superheroes in "Krrish 4" just like the Marvel movie and upcoming Bollywood biggie, "Brahmastra Part One: Shiva", which intends to introduce several superheroes and films will be made about them. When asked if the audience can expect a Krrish Cinematic Universe at some point? To which, Rakesh Roshan replied, "Yes, why not? Krrish 4 actually has those elements". ## Hrithik is currently gearing up for the release of "Vikram Vedha", due on September 30. He will next start shooting for director Siddharth Anand's ariel action thriller "Fighter", which will release in September 2023. Ireland Slaps A Whopping $402 Million Fine On Social Media Site Instagram For Violating Child Privacy Policies

Dublin, September 6 - The social media platform, Instagram has been slapped with a whopping $402 million fine by Ireland's data privacy regulator, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The photo-sharing and content-creating site has been found violating laws regulating the handling of children's data online. ## Instagram has said it will appeal the fine.## According to THR, the Irish government's investigation, which began in 2020, found that Instagram allowed child users aged between 13 and 17 to operate business accounts on Instagram, which facilitated the publication of the users' phone numbers and/or email addresses. That, ruled Ireland's Data Protection Commissioner, was a violation of the country's laws protecting child data online.## A spokesperson for Meta said that Instagram updated its settings over a year ago to address the problem and has since released new features "to keep teens safe and their information private". Mumbai, September 6 - Kangana Ranaut-fronted hotly-awaited Tejas, based on Air Force pilot Tejas Gill, is all set to be postponed from the October 5th, 2022, release. It is believed that the movie will not meet its earlier announced release date deadline as some VFX work is still pending. ## Directed by Sarvesh Mewara and produced by Ronnie Screwvala under his banner RSVP Movies, "Tejas" will now reportedly be released in January 2023 in theaters. It was recently reported that the makers might take the direct-to-digital route for the movie, however, the latest reports suggest that it will release in theaters only. ## "Tejas was to release in October. However, since the film is very VFX there is still quite a bit of work pending. However, the work pending isn’t much yet it will still take a while. So to avoid doing a rushed job on the film, it was decided to defer the release date. Right now the makers are looking at a release in either December 2022 or January 2023", reports Bollywood Hungama. ## The film showcases the story of a woman pilot in the Indian Air Force being played by Kangana Ranaut. The Indian Air Force was the first of the country's defense forces to induct women into combat roles in 2016. Mumbai, September 6 - Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, who gave India its first big screen superhero "Krrish", opened up on the sluggish response to most of the Bollywood movies at the box office post-pandemic. Rakesh Roshan, whose next film will be "Krrish 4", revealed where Bollywood filmmakers are going wrong which is resulting in the failure of their films. ## During an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rakesh Roshan said that the filmmakers of Hindi cinema are not making films to which a large audience can relate. He also slammed the filmmakers for not giving enough attention to the songs in the movies, which, many believe, used to be Bollywood's USP. ## "That is because people are making films that they and their friends like to watch. They are picking subjects that appeal to a very minuscule section of the audience. A big chunk of the audience cannot relate to it", he said when asked why Hindi films have not worked at the box office recently. ## "Another major problem is that the songs are going out of the film. Earlier, there used to be 6 songs. These songs would help the actors turn into superstars. Whenever you listen to old classics, you remember the heroes who were featured in those songs. Nowadays, since there are no songs, toh hero yaad nahi aate hai. As a result, becoming a superstar is very difficult at present", he added. ## Post-pandemic, South Indian films have worked really well at the box office and a few of them have also done very good business in the Hindi market. Rakesh Roshan said that the filmmaker in the South are "still sticking to rooted stories and they are presenting them in a very upgraded way, keeping in mind the commercial sensibilities". ## "Our Bollywood filmmakers have drifted away from the roots of Indianness. They try to make so-called 'modern cinema' but it works with only 1% of the population. It does not cater to B and C centers. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the action thriller has topped $700 million as well as crossed Marvel Studios' Black Panther as the fifth biggest North American grosser. ## According to Variety, "Top Gun 2" returned to the top of box office charts over Labor Day weekend, adding $7.9 million between Friday and Monday and bringing ticket sales to $701 million. It is now ahead of the Marvel blockbuster "Black Panther's" $700.4 million and is only the 6th film ever to top $700 million at the North American box office. ## According to Paramount, the sequel to Cruise's 1986 blockbuster film is the only film to ever be No. 1 at the domestic box office for both Memorial Day and Labor Day holidays.## "It's without a doubt, that 'Top Gun: Maverick' is a true cultural touchstone embodying the power of the cinematic experience. Mumbai, September 5 - Director Ayan Mukerji's passion project Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is all set to take the biggest opening for a Bollywood movie in 2022 and has an outside chance to top "Sooryavanshi" to become the biggest Bollywood opener post-pandemic. ## The fantasy adventure film based on Ancient Indian Astras has become the biggest Bollywood film post-pandemic in advance booking sales for the opening day, 2 days ahead of the official release. So far, the movie has scored 10 crores in gross advance sales, outscoring Ranveer Singh's "83" (8.14 crores). ## The 3D format of the movie is leading the advance booking of the movie with 8.30 crores gross so far while the 2D format has so far generated 86 lakh for all languages. Meanwhile, the IMAX format has crossed 1 crore advance sales for the opening day. Hyderabad, September 5 - Vijay Deverakonda's sports action drama film, Liger has tanked at the box office. This resulted in heavy losses to the distributors who bought the movie at high prices. The Puri Jagannadh-directed film was made on a big budget and was expected to do well at the box office, but that didn't happen. ## "Liger" opened to disastrous reviews from critics who slammed the movie left, right, and center, as if the movie didn't deserve to exist. Because of the critics' reviews, the movie couldn't gather any momentum after the opening day and ended up with just a 20% recovery of total investment. ## With such a poor response to the movie, it would be fair to assume that the distributors across languages are upset with the makers. However, this is not the case as Warangal Srinu, who bought the entire South Indian rights of "Liger", has backed the movie despite facing heavy losses. ## Warangal Srinu has said that "Liger" is a good film except for the climax. A lot of portions in the movie were excellent, except for the climax of the film. The film successfully carried the legacy of the first part "Aashiqui" (1990) and became a huge hit at the box office while Aashiqui 2's soundtrack received acclaim from music critic. ## The lead actress of "Aashiqui 3" is yet to be announced.
