Mumbai, August 1 - Filmmaker Karan Johar announces on social media that the shooting of his directorial comeback movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani has been wrapped up except for one song. The family entertainer stars Ranveer Singh, and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles along with Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan. ## Karan Johar took to Twitter and shared a BTS video, celebrating the film's talkie wrap. Karan was joined by Ranveer, Dharmendra, Shabana, and the rest of the team for the celebrations while Alia, who couldn't be a part of it physically, joined via video call. ## Apart from sharing the video, Karan penned a note, saying, "It's a talkie wrap on a piece of my heart...a kahani that became a journey which I will hold close to me forever! I sat in the director chair after many years and it felt like coming home. Mumbai, August 1 - The hit machine of Bollywood, Rohit Shetty is increasing the bar high for his next cop drama film Singham 3 with Ajay Devgn returning in the title role. While the filmmaker is currently busy in the post-production of Ranveer Singh-fronted "Cirkus", he has already started preparation for "Singham 3". ## During a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the maverick filmmaker revealed his plans for the third installment of the Singham franchise. Previously, it was reported that the shooting of "Singham 3" will start by the end of this year, however, Shetty confirmed that it will go on the floor in April next year as Ajay Devgn is busy with his current commitments. ## "We have already started working on Singham 3. It has been a long time since I made an out-and-out Singham film. We start the shoot next year in April. Ajay Sir is busy with his commitments and I am also busy with Cirkus. It is going to be the biggest cop universe ever that we have made to date", the filmmaker told. ## The man behind India's first cinematic cop universe (Singham, Simmba, Sooryavanshi), also confirmed that a female cop film will also happen soon in his cop universe, however, the details on the same are yet to be known. ## Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty is also working on his digital debut cop series, fronted by Sidharth Malhotra. Los Angeles, August 1 - A24 Studios' absurdist black comedy-drama film Everything Everywhere All at Once has topped a major milestone at the worldwide box office. The film has crossed the $100 million mark globally, becoming the first ever film for the studio to reach the mark, as per Variety.## Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert "Everything Everywhere All at Once" was released in March this year and went on the become a sleeper hit at the box office. The multiverse adventure was re-expended at the USA theaters this past weekend from 170 to approx. 1500 theaters and this helped the movie to achieve the milestone of $100 million worldwide. ## So far, "Everything Everywhere All at Once" has generated $69 million in the United States and another $31 million internationally, putting its global tally at $100 million. Outside the domestic (USA) market, the United Kingdom has contributed the most with $6.2 million, followed by Canada ($5.1 million), Australia ($4.5 million), Russia ($2.4 million), and Taiwan ($2.3 million). ## For A24 Studio, the previous highest-grossing film worldwide was "Hereditary" (2018), which is a horror film that grossed $79 million globally while at the North American box office, it was "Uncut Gems", which was the biggest earner for the studio with $50 million. ## The movie stars Michelle Yeoh as a Chinese-American woman being audited by the Internal Revenue Service who discovers that she must connect with parallel universe versions of herself to prevent a powerful being from causing the destruction of the multiverse. It has been one of the films which went unnoticed in media headlines but found appreciation among its target audiences. ## When the movie was released on July 1st, it had a huge task in hand to deliver at the box office. The opening of the film in Hindi was approx. 95 lakh, and at that time, it looked like the film will also meet the other box office failures. However, with strong positive audiences' word of mouth and constant push by Madhavan through social media, the film started getting recognition and carried a consistent run at the box office on a lower level. ## The film managed to touch the hearts of the audience who respect the film as their own, which clearly reflected at the box office. The film has been 30 days since the movie was released in theaters and still running on a good number of screens. From the opening of 95 lakh, it has managed to collect more than 23 times till now for approx. 22.10 crores net (4 weeks), which is indeed a very big achievement. ## "Rocketry" is available on Voot but still getting footfalls in theaters. The filming of the sequel to Indian (1996) was halted following an accident on the sets in February 2020, but it is now expected to resume in September this year. ## Meanwhile, actress Kajal Aggarwal, who was supposed to play the female lead, is reportedly no more a part of the film. The actress is on voluntary maternity leave and was also removed from megastar Chiranjeevi's "Acharya" earlier this year. ## According to Bollywood Hungama, the makers of the film are not looking to cast either Bollywood actresses Deepika Padukone or Katrina Kaif. However, reports say they haven't been approached yet for the role. Post the success of "Vikram", the upcoming movie is also being designed as a pan-India film, ## Kamal Haasan-fronted first "Indian", which was released in 1996, starred Manisha Koirala and Urmila Matondkar as the female leads. Los Angeles, July 30 - Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio and filmmaker Martin Scorsese are joining forces again for their next film together, which is an adaptation of the upcoming David Grann nonfiction book, The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny, and Murder, according to The Hollywood Reporter. ## The film rights of the book, due out in April 2023, have been acquired by Apple Original Films. Scorsese is attached to direct the movie, with DiCaprio set to headline. Interestingly, the duo is already working on "Killers of the Flower Moon", and as per THR, the key players and companies behind the film are also working on Wager. ## Set in the 1740s, Wager's story is set in motion when a patched-together boat with 30 emaciated men lands on the coast of Brazil. The men were the surviving crew of a British ship that was chasing a Spanish vessel and had crashed onto an island in South America’s Patagonia region. Their tales of surviving the seas and elements made them heroes.## However, six months later another vessel, even more, beat up than the first, showed up on the coat of Chile, this one with three sailors — who accuse the passengers on the other boat of being mutineers.## The British Admiralty launched a special trial to learn the truth about what actually occurred on the island as accusations and denials flew, according to the "Hollywood Reporter." The trial revealed a tale of a captain and crew struggling to survive while fending off some of the world's most extreme elements as well as struggling against their own human natures.## DiCaprio and Scorsese have regular collaborators in Hollywood and have worked together in 5 films, excluding the upcoming two projects. Russo Brothers were recently in India for the promotion of "The Gray Man" and they had a virtual meeting with Rajamouli as the trio set on to discuss their love for cinema. ## All three directors assert that action is the most broadly appealing genre to base their narratives on, despite their shared belief that movies should be anchored in emotion, which Rajamouli refers to as "the basement on which you can create this great extravaganza". ## Speaking about "RRR", Joe Russo said, "What I think is so amazing about [RRR] is the emotion it evokes, combined with the spectacle and this makes it perfectly done epic". The duo also took to social media and shared that it was an honor to meet the great SS Rajamouli.## SS Rajamouli, meanwhile, said that he never expected such huge popularity for "RRR" among western audiences and said that he was taken aback by how it was received there.
