Hyderabad, June 11 - The trailer of Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD was released on June 10 amid massive anticipation and it found application among the fans for its never-before-seen visuals and a brave attempt at sci-fi genre mixed with mythology. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, the trailer of Kalki has been trending at number 1 on YouTube and it generated 37+ million views in the first 24 hours for all languages. The Hindi trailer of the film scored the highest viewership with 17+ million, followed by Telugu with 14.5 million views. ## The other version of the trailer scored 5.5+ million views in the first 24 hours which is a decent effort. Mumbai, June 10 - Maddock Films' horror-comedy Munjya sees an excellent collection on its first Monday, dropping around just 10% from Friday which is nothing short of a miraculous hold. There is an outside chance of Monday collection coming on par with the opening day. ## According to the early estimates, the latest entry in the horror-comedy universe scores 3.50-4 crores net collection, pushing the total to around 23 crores in 4 days. The drop from Sunday collection of 8 crores net is around 50% which is also fantastic, to say the least. ## Munjya is heading towards 31-33 crores net opening week which is outstanding and will aim to reach 50 crores net in the second week though it will have competition with Kartik Aaryan's Chandu Champion which is the first major release after gap. ## The movie emerged as a surprise hit as there were hardly any expectations for it to deliver at the box office before the trailer did some trick, plus, the affordable ticket prices also played a role in bringing the audience to theatres. Chennai, June 10 - Sun Pictures has postponed the release of Tamil star Dhanush's second directorial venture Raayan by a month to July 2024. Dhanush is also playing the leading role in the movie alongside Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, S. J. Suryah, Selvaraghavan, Prakash Raj, Aparna Balamurali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Saravanan. ## The movie, which was previously announced to be released in June, will now be released in theatres worldwide on July 26 in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Interestingly, the movie will hit the big screens during the birthday week of Dhanush as the actor will celebrate his 41st birthday on July 28, doubling the celebrations for fans.## The makers have already started the promotions as two single tracks, Adangadha Asuran, and Water Packet have increased the buzz around the movie. Chennai, June 10 - Tamil action thriller Garudan has had an impressive second weekend at the domestic box office with approximately 9.25 crores gross collection, pushing the total collection to 36.25 crores gross in 10 days. It is the 4th highest-grossing Tamil movie of 2024 domestically. ## Starring Soori in the leading role, Garudan has minted approximately 6.25 crores at the overseas box office, taking the global cume to 42.50 crores, making it 4th highest-grossing Tamil title of the year, behind Aranmanai 4, Ayalaan, and Captain Miller. ## Directed by R. S. Durai Senthilkumar, Garudan is only the second original Tamil hit of 2024 after Aranmanai 4 which has grossed approximately 97.50 crores so far. The latest blockbuster has minted $196.3 million (1640 crores) in North America and $373.7 million (2120 crores) at the overseas box office. ## Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is the highest-grossing MonsterVerse film in as many as 35 markets, including India where it has grossed 134 crores ($16 million). It is currently the highest-grossing Hollywood movie of 2024 in India, way ahead of second-ranked Kung Fu Panda 4 which has earned around 50 crores gross. ## It is also the second-highest-grossing Hollywood movie of 2024 at the worldwide box office, after Dune: Part 2 which is the number 1 with approximately $712 million. The movie opened above expectations on the opening day with approximately 4 crores net and is showing over 60% jump on the second day. ## It was anticipated that the growth on the second would be there but it wouldn't be big due to the lower ticket prices. However, the movie proved all calculations wrong to score an estimated 6.50-7 crores net collection on the first Saturday. ## The total collection of the film is around 10.50+ crores net in two days as the opening weekend is looking to be around 18-20 crores net which is way above the pre-release projections. Mumbai, June 7 - The most-anticipated film in Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe is Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted Stree 2 which is the sequel to 2018's Stree. The movie is directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films in association with Jio Studios. ## The industry is waiting for the response to Stree 2 which will be released in August this year. Meanwhile, the makers are gearing up to launch the movie's teaser soon after completing the censorship formalities yesterday. ## It is learned that the teaser of Stree 2 was censored on June 7 and it received a U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an approved runtime of 1 minute and 23 seconds.
