Mumbai, September 23 - Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted horror-comedy Stree 2 is on the historic run at the domestic box office. The movie has taken full advantage of the lack of competition and is now in touching distance with Jawan to outgross it and become the biggest Hindi grosser domestically. ## Directed by Amar Kaushik, the mega-blockbuster sequel is going through an excellent sixth week domestically. In just 3 days, Stree 2 has become the biggest 6th-week grosser in the Hindi language, beating Shah Rukh Khan-fronted Jawan by a long margin. ## The movie has scored approximately 13.65 crores net collection in the 6th weekend, surpassing the total sixth-week collection of Jawan (10.60 crores net). Stree 2 aims to finish the full 6th week with around 16 crores net collection. ## It has so far scored approximately 577.50 crores net collection in 39 days and is just 5 crores away from topping Jawan (582 crores net) and becoming the biggest single language grosser at the Indian box office. Mumbai, September 22 - Folk horror thriller Tumbbad re-release put up another good show and scored the biggest second weekend than the first one at the domestic box office. It has also crossed 20 crores net through the second weekend. ## After getting the benefit of National Cinema Day on the second Friday and holding strong on Saturday, the acclaimed flick remained on the level of the second Saturday collection as it scored around 2.50 crores net collection on its second Sunday (10th day). ## The total second weekend of Tumbbad re-release is approximately 7.60 crores net which is higher than the first weekend collection of 7.25 crores net. Mumbai, September 22 - Producer Sohum Shah's folk horror thriller Tumbbad continues to surprise with the superb day-wise trend at the box office since its re-release over a week ago. ## After a good first-week collection of 13.15 crores net, the movie began the second weekend with an excellent jump of over 100% on Friday due to National Cinema Day, scoring approximately 2.75 crores. Tumbbad again showed a fantastic hold on Saturday and stayed over the 2 crore mark. ## On its second Saturday (9th day), the acclaimed flick scored approximately 2.35 crores net, dropping just under 20% from NCD collection. Chennai, September 21 - Thalapathy Vijay's action thriller The Greatest of All Time has emerged as a huge blockbuster in the home state, Tamil Nadu where it has crossed 200 crore gross collection and become only the third movie of all time to archive the feat. ## Despite the mixed reviews, The GOAT has been on the rampage mode since it was released on September 5 and has done the unthinkable by entering the 200 crore club in the state. Mumbai, September 20 - Critically acclaimed Tumbbad re-release begins the second week on a strong note. It has witnessed an excellent jump of almost 100% on its second Friday from Thursday, thanks to National Cinema Day and ever-improving word of mouth. ## Tumbbad had a superb first-week collection of approximately 13.15 crores net, including a 7.25 crores opening weekend total. It was expected to do well in the second weekend due to positive word of mouth and with the added support of low ticket prices on NCD, it doubled the collection on the second Friday. ## The movie scored approximately 2.75 crore net collection on its 8th day, over a 70% jump from the first Friday and a 120% jump from Thursday. This took the total re-release collection of the movie to approximately 13.15 crores net in 7 days. ## Tumbbad is expected to witness a good jump on its second Friday due to National Cinema Day on which the ticket prices are kept at just rs. 99. Mumbai, September 20 - 20th Century Studios' sci-fi horror thriller Alien: Romulus has scripted a box office history to become the highest-grossing horror movie of all time in IMAX. ## Directed by Fede Álvarez, the 7th movie in the Alien franchise has so far grossed over $40 million in IMAX format since its debut in mid-August 2024, making it the biggest horror grosser in this premium format.## Alien: Romulus is going strong and recently crossed $300 million at the worldwide box office. The movie has so far grossed approximately $332 million, becoming the highest-grossing horror movie of the year. The film's production budget is $80 million. ## At the domestic (North American) box office, the movie has grossed $102 million while overseas collection stands at $230 million. Hyderabad, September 19 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's much-awaited action drama Devara: Part 1 has fetched good worldwide pre-release theatrical business. The movie, directed by Koratala Siva, is scheduled to hit the big screens on September 27 in multiple languages. ## Devara marks Jr. NTR's first solo release in 6 years and it has easily scored the highest pre-release business for the actor other than RRR which was a 2-hero tentpole. According to Andhra Box Office, the total worldwide business of the movie has been locked at around 180 crores. ## In Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), the theatrical rights of Devara are valued at approximately 113 crores, including 45 crores in Nizam and 22 crores for Ceded area.
